文章大意:本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要介绍了两只大猩猩Ndakazi和Ndeze与公园管理员自拍照由Mathieu Shamavu发布在脸书上后走红,引发了大家对它们的关注。

Many people are interested in taking selfies(自拍). However, can you imagine some animals also like this cool way of self-expression?

Two gorillas(大猩猩)and a park keeper can be clearly seen in a selfie. The gorillas are striking poses(姿势)like humans. They look so cool! In fact, the park keeper named Mathieu Shamavu used to help save the two gorillas when they were very small. Ever since, they’ve lived at Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The park is the home to about 1,000 mountain gorillas and tries to protect wildlife.

The selfie became famous after being posted on Facebook by Mathieu Shamavu. So far, it has been shared more than 20,000 times.

In the selfie, these two gorillas Ndakazi and Ndeze appear to be natural in front of the camera. One stands proudly in a power pose with her feet wide apart, while the other leans(倾斜)forward to make herself into the shot.

“The two girls are always funny, so this was the perfect shot of their true personalities,” Vinunga National Park wrote on Instagram.

According to the park, the gorillas are used to thinking of the park keepers as their “parents”.

文章大意:本文是一篇记叙文。人生最幸运的事情之一,就是在你需要帮助的时候有人伸出援手。文章主要讲述了疫情期间在我们的城市发生的一些温暖的故事。

One of the luckiest things in life is that someone offers help when you are in need. Such warm stories happen these days in our city.

We’ve never depended on deliverymen for our daily needs so heavily as we do now, when we work from home to stop the spread of the COVID-19. So they chose to sleep under overpasses (天桥) or on park benches. Photos of them sleeping in those outdoor places were put online. The next day, the government took action and offered them free places to live in either at hotels, at schools or at courier stations (快递站).

Another recent case that shows ordinary people are cared for was about a bun (面包) seller. The man left a message below a post on the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission (市健康委员会)’s WeChat account. 文章大意:本文是一篇说明文。京剧是中国所有传统戏剧艺术形式中最具代表性的,也是中国最大的戏曲形式。文章主要对京剧和京剧演员进行了相关介绍。

Beijing Opera is the most typical of all Chinese traditional dramatic art forms and the largest Chinese opera form. Having a history of about 200 years, it is developed from absorbing (吸收) many other dramatic forms, mostly from the local drama “Huiban”, which was popular in South China during the 18th century. It is a scenic (戏剧的) art including music, performance, literature, aria(唱腔) and face painting.

Theatrical art forms in many other countries do not present singing, dancing and spoken parts in one single drama. An opera singer, for example, neither dances nor speaks on stage; there are no singing or dancing parts in a modern play; in a dance drama, the dancer has no speaking role and does not sing either. Traditional Chinese drama, including Beijing Opera, is a kind of entertainment which includes spoken parts, singing, dancing and acrobatics(杂技).

Besides its presence in China, Beijing Opera has spread to many other places. Mei Lanfang, one of the most famous performers of all time, was the first to introduce Beijing Opera to foreigners and made highly successful tours to foreign countries.

“You will be puzzled (困惑的) all the way through and a little bored from time to time; but you will be charmed and interested. You will be strongly attracted to Beijing Opera even if you know nothing of the dramatic background.” This is how one American traveller described his first experience in watching Beijing Opera.
