What’s the best way to lose weight? To diet (节食)? No. Most people who diet may regain the lost weight when they go back to their old eating habits.

How do people lose weight and keep healthy? Here are five ways to make that happen.

Exercise.

Exercise can help us burn calories and build muscles (肌肉). Walking the family dog, cycling to school and doing other things can be helpful.

Reduce screen time.

People get less exercise these days because they spend too much time on screen time. They spend too much time watching TV or playing computer games. Limiting (限制) your screen time to less than two hours a day may be suitable. It can also make you eat fewer snacks.

Drink healthily.

Another reason of weight gain is that more people drink some unhealthy drinks that can make them get fat. They should choose to drink water or low-fat milk.

Eat five servings (一份食物) of fruit and vegetables a day.

Fruit and vegetables have less calories than many other food. When you eat more fruit and vegetables, you won’t overeat.

Have breakfast.

Breakfast brings you energy to do more during the day. People who don’t have breakfast often feel so hungry that they eat more later on.
