I have read with interest the opinion of one woman who attended a high school basketball game at Three Oaks and came away thinking the students were disrespectful. I have a very different point of view. Respect does not equal quiet, although a certain generation of people would disagree. Respect is a deep admiration for someone or something because of their abilities or achievements and a regard for the wishes and traditions of others.
In my opinion, the students at Three Oaks High School were the very picture of respect. They brought their team and school spirit to show their admiration for their basketball team. This is something that is desperately lacking in many schools — SPIRIT. I am so happy to say it is alive at Three Oaks. They cheered and made noise in a gymnasium, they jumped up and down when their team scored, they groaned when they made mistakes, but kept the team's spirits up by cheering, even when it was evident, they were going to lose. They kept the tradition of cheering and respect by showing due regard to a parent who came over and spoke to them about jumping too far onto the court. They listened and followed his instructions. He also happened to be the coach of another team whose fans were doing nothing.
These kids were doing what they were supposed to do, in a place they were supposed to do it. It was not a library, or a mall; it was a sports match. I would ask the lady who wrote the letter to the editor if she has been to any professional sporting events? I remember watching a Super Bowl I a few years ago and the quarterback could hardly make his calls heard to the guy standing right in front of him. You know what he said about it later, that it was amazing to have the fans cheering so loud.
I wish both these teams the best of luck. It was an amazing game. Even though we lost, we left with our spirits high, ready for the next time our teams me. It is going to be another great game of basketball.

Passenger pigeons (旅鸽) were the most common birds in all of North America in the 1800s. It was common to see large groups of passenger pigeons — groups that made a sound like a storm. But today, they are extinct because of human behavior. Now, some scientists want to bring passenger pigeons back to life by using new technology and scientific ideas. They call this process deextinction.
Deextinction has not happened yet. It is still just an idea. The process of deextinction is not easy. First, scientists must collect DNA from the bodies of extinct animals. Then they will put it in the eggs of similar animal species. When these animals become adults, they will have babies. And these baby animals will have the DNA of the extinct animals.
Scientists believe it is possible to bring back passenger pigeons and many other animals. However, not everyone thinks this is a good idea.
Stuart Primm is the world's leading expert on modern animal extinction. He believes that bringing extinct animals back to life is bad for the earth. On one hand, these animals no longer have a safe place to live. On the other hand, they could cause other animals to die.
Many other scientists do not agree with Stuart Primm. Stuart Brand, a writer and scientist, is one of them. He believes deextinction is good for many reasons.
"The current generation (当代) of children will experience the return of some unusual animals in their lifetime. It may be part of what defines their generation and their attitude to the natural world. They will take their parents to zoos to see the growing populations of passenger pigeons, and maybe even dodo birds. This will provide a good deal of money for zoos busy with extinct species restoration (恢复). Humans killed off a lot of species over the last 10,000 years. So, it's right to bring some back to life," he said.

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway and it just wasn’t worth to retrieve the donkey. So, he decided to bury it!
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly, then slowly he quieted down till nothing more was heard.
