Everybody wants to have a happy life. The problem is that no one teaches you how to live a happy life. There are many ways to do this. And here are three of them to help you start.
What is happiness?
I often hear people say they want to be happy. But when I ask them what happiness is to them, they don’t know how to explain it. If you don’t know what happiness is to you, happiness is only a word.
Have goals.
If you know what makes you happy, you need to have goals to get those things. You can’t get happiness if you just have a dream. So you should try your best to realize your goals.
Don’t do things that make you unhappy.
This may seem very easy, but so many people are doing things that make them unhappy. If you want your life to be full of happiness, you have to do things that make you happy.

Good eating habits are very important for a good health and a strong body. Most of us like eating sweets and ice-cream better than meat and rice. Sweets and ice-cream are not bad for us if we eat them at the end of a meal. If we eat them before a meal, they may take away our appetite (胃口). It’s important for us to eat our meal at regular (规律的)time each day. When we feel worried or excited, we may not want to eat. Everyone wants to be healthy and strong. How can we be healthy and strong? First, always have breakfast. Lin Tao has breakfast at 7:00 every morning. Before breakfast, he washes his face and brushes his teeth. After breakfast, he goes to school. He has lunch at school from Monday to Friday.
Lin Tao runs for 20 minutes every morning. Ping-pong is his favourite sport. He plays ping-pong three times a week. That’s three hours a week. He plays basketball twice a week. That’s two hours of exercise a week.

How to Keep Healthy
Everybody wants to be healthy. You know food is very important. There are many kinds of healthy food. You can have more bananas, apples, oranges, tomatoes and Chinese cabbages because fruits and vegetables are good for you. But don’t eat too much chocolate. It’s not healthy. Fast food is not healthy. Don’t eat too much. Healthy food can make you tall and strong. Remember there is a saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Sports can also keep you healthy. Doing exercise for about one hour a day is very good for us. Don’t read in bed. It’s not good for your eyes. Get up early and do some sports every day. Don’t be lazy! You will be healthy and happy.
