The Chinatown in San Francisco is the     1     (big) in America. There are many famous sites in Chinatown including the Tin How Temple, Bank of Canton and Portsmouth Square,     7     (name) but a few. People can find     8     unique range of souvenirs, goods, and clothing in the stores in the Chinatown. But perhaps     9     people treasure most is its food that     10     (suit) everyone’s taste.

“Failing to open curtains fully makes people more likely to get sick”,     1     new study suggests. It found sunlight kills disease-causing bacteria     2     live in dust, while darker conditions let them thrive (繁殖). The findings     3     (publish) in the journal Microbiome.

Researchers     4     (warn) the problem also affects windowless offices. Study leader Dr. Ashkaan Fahimipour said: “Humans spend most of their time indoors, where dust carries bacteria     5     ( make) us sick.

His team at the University of Oregon chose 11 small rooms and allowed in     8     (differ) levels of sunlight. After 90 days, dark rooms had double the number of bacteria able to reproduce. My Travel Experience in China

During the summer holidays I visited a variety of regions in China.

My first stop was Beijing and of course the Great Wall. Without question it lived up to my     1     (expect).

After a long journey, I reached Yunnan. With     2     (it) minority villages and impressive landscapes, Yunnan had a lot to offer. One of my     3     (enjoy) moments in Yunnan was during my visit to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. The climb over the gorge was at times exhausting     4     always breathtaking. The beauty of its views couldn’t     5     (imagine) and they     6     (leave) me with many great memories.

After taking a boat from the mainland, I arrived at     7     island province of Hainan. There I visited Baihua Waterfall. Floating on a pool of water at the base and looking up at the waterfall with a background of blue sky was one of the most     8     (relax) experiences of my life.

Throughout China there are many ancient buildings and in particular ancient towns. Lijiang and Dali both have glorious     9     (example) of this. It was remarkable to step back in time and get an idea of     10     China might have looked like all those years ago. I thought the buildings were beautiful and full of history.

I had a wonderful time! China is both fascinating and beautiful!

Too much tourism can be a problem. If tourism     9    (grow) too quickly,people must leave other jobs to work     10     the tourism industry. This means that other parts of the country's economy can suffer.
