I signed up for a competition on garbage sorting on the Monday and I participated in the first round, a written test. Though there was many candidates, I succeeded entering the final with another student from my class. Last Friday where the final was held, my classmate and I played with the participants from other four classes, and answers all of the questions accurately. Finally, we won out! We were extremely happy what we brought honor to our class. When interviewing by the school TV station after the award ceremony, I expressed my prides in protecting our environment. The competition not only broadened my knowledge on the garbage sorting and increased the awareness of environmentally protection.

Yesterday, I took a walk in the Panzhihua Park with my parents. The beautiful flowers were in various color. We were enjoying the scenery around when something unpleasant catch my attention. Not far from us, the middle-aged woman was eating some oranges while chat with her friends. In my surprise, she threw the orange skin on the ground, totally ignoring the sign nearby which was read “No Littering”. I think it is not a good behavior throw rubbish somewhere, and all of us should love our environment. As visitors, you should do something to protect the park after it becomes a huge dustbin.

When it come to the ocean, we are worried that its pollution is becoming more and more seriously. World Ocean Day, fallen on June 8th, is aimed at raising people’s awareness of ocean conservation. The ocean plays an important part in the world. It offers us sufficient food but maintains the balance of the nature. Therefore, it is time of us to devote ourselves to protecting the ocean. First of all, we should stop their own bad behavior, throwing rubbish into the ocean, for example. What’s more, we can hand out various brochure to call on more people protect the ocean. The more people are involved, the good the ocean environment is.

The other day, at a local store which is near my house, an old man with a guide dog come in. She went to the shelf where there were different kind of greeting cards. He picked up a card, held it up extreme close to his eves, and struggled read it. Just as I was about to walk over to help him, I found the little girl, about ten years old, asking him that he needed help. He nodded but then she started to read him every greeting card until he smiled. The old man said, “That’s what I want it! My wife will loved this one!”

Delighting to know the Video Production club is advertising for videos concerning memories about the Spring Festival, I’d like to participate this activity. Here goes the detailed informations of my contribution.

To help people get a better understanding of it, your video focuses on what people do during the Spring Festival. Some traditional customs, such as setting off fireworks and eat dumplings, are included. Additional, a big family dinner is the most important part, after that each member enjoys the pleasure of reunion and chats until the next day comes. At the end of this video, a brief introduction of the Spring Festival is being presented in the form of subtitles, impress the viewers again.

My neighbor is a generously lady in her early sixty. Since she retired as a English teacher, and she has been delivering meals to senior citizens in town. During the COVID-19 outbreak, she wasn’t able to actually get access for their homes. She begun to attach lovely cards with warm messages to those meals. It really brightened up the lives of not only those I delivered the meals to, but also those noticed the meals. Inspired by her, people in my neighborhood are willing to helping each other and more and more people, included me, have started to do voluntary work.
