The University Library’s group study rooms are for current students, academic use only.

*Reserve a room https: //biblio.csusm.edu/groupstudy.

*5th floor rooms open to reservations 2 weeks in advance; 3rd & 2nd floor rooms open to reservations I week inadvance;4th floor rooms open to reservations 24 hours in advance.

*Rooms can be reserved for a maximum of 3 hours per visit and up to 12 hours total per week. Rooms can be reserved once per day per person.

*Rooms not occupied within 10 minutes of the reservation time are no longer available, and can be occupied by another group until the next reservation for that room.

*Reservations can be deleted. Please do so ASAP if the room is no longer needed: To delete your reservation, go(to the reservation calendar and click the room, date and time, then select Delete Entry.

*If the room you reserved is occupied, you may ask the group to leave or request assistance from staff at the Media Desk (2nd floor).

*Drinks in covered containers and small individual snacks are allowed in the group study rooms.

*Doors to the group study rooms should be kept closed when in use.

*Sound travels, even with the door closed -respect those studying around you by keeping the volume at a reasonable level.

*Visibility of the space is not to be blocked. Windows are not to be covered in any way.

The Cooperage Maker Fair

The Cooperage Maker Fair will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday, June 12 on the grounds of the City Museum. The Maker Fair is a place where people show what they are making—a showcase for invention and creativity,and share what they are learning. Anyone interested in presenting their projects, hobbies and experiments should apply to take part at www.cooperagemakerfair.com.

Such Sweet Thunder

At 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, there will be a film screening of comedy Twelfth Night as part of the Such Sweet Thunder: Shakespeare’s Plays on Film Series. Dr.Robert Dugan will introduce the play with a brief background. Admission is free, but due to limited seating, booking is required at www.suchsweetthunder.com.

Sounds Like Teen Spirit

On Thursday, June 24,there will be an event called Sounds Like Teen Spirit from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.Sounds Like Teen Spirit is designed to provide an opportunity to showcase the talent of our community’s youth.School-aged students are encouraged to share their performing art on stage at the Cooperage Project!

Great Brazilian Music Tour

On Saturday, June 27,a fantastic opportunity is ready for you to listen to some great Brazilian music by the musical group Minas. It is from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, and doors open at 2:00 pm.We encourage children and their families to come to learn all about the rhythm, excitement and sound of Brazilian music.The two-hour performance is sure to be fun for the whole family. The admission charge is $5 for each person, and all the money will go to the local food bank. You can also give away old clothes and money at the entrance.

As one of the top art museums in the Southeast, High Museum of Art has an extensive collection of 19th and 20th-century American art and a significant amount of European artwork. There is a growing collection of African American art as well as modern and contemporary art. It is distinguished as the only major museum in North America to have a department specifically devoted to folk and self-taught art.

The Delta Flight Museum is an aviation and corporate museum located near the airline’s main hub. It is a nonprofit organization relying on volunteers, donations, special event rentals and Museum Store sales. It is considered an ongoing project and it collects various items year round.

Located along Ponce, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History is an interactive museum that will appeal to people of all ages. Permanent exhibits include dinosaur fossils and massive skeletons. Regularly scheduled educational and social events add to the appeal. The museum is also home to a five-story IMAX theater airing acclaimed nature films.

Founded in 1988 as a “Museum Without Walls,” the 16,316-square-foot museum includes exhibits designed for children under the age of nine and hosts field trips from schools and learning centers. The Imaginators invent fun hands-on activities for children, and create terrific programming, including original and lively 20-minute mini-musicals.

Food

The TWU Cafeteria is open 7a.m. to 8p.m. It serves snacks, drinks and meals. You can pay with cash or your ID cards. You can add meal money to your ID cards at the Front Desk. Even if you do not buy your food in the cafeteria, you can use the tables to eat your lunch, to have meetings and to study with friends.

If you are on campus in the evening or late at night, you can buy snacks, fast food, and drinks in the Lower Café located in the bottom level of the Gouglas Centre. This area is often used for entertainment such as concerts, games or TV watching.

Relaxation

The Globe, located in the bottom level of McMillan Hall, is available for relaxing, studying, cooking, and eating. Monthly activities are held here for all international students. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., closed on Sundays.

Health

Located on the top floor of Douglas Hall, the Wellness Centre is committed to physical health. A doctor and nurse is available if you have health questions or need immediate medical help or personal advice. The cost of this is included in your medical insurance. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:30pm.

Academic Support

All students have access to the Writing Centre on the upper floor of Douglas Hall. Here, qualified volunteers will work with you on written work, grammar, vocabulary, and other academic skills. You can sign up for an appointment on the sign-up sheet outside the door, two 30-minute appointments per week maximum. This service is free.

Transportation

The TWU Express is a shuttle service. The shuttle transports students between campus and the shopping centre, leaving from the Mattson Centre. Operation hours are between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturdays only. Round trip fare is $1.

The Goddington Theater Ticket Office is open from 10a．m．until 4p．m．Monday to Friday，and for half an hour in the evening before the advertised start time of each performance．

Telephone bookings

*Your tickets are held at the Ticket Office for you to collect or，if you prefer，a charge（费用） of 35cents is made to post them to you if you pay by cash．We'll post them to you for free if you book by credit card．No extra charge．

Postal bookings

*You can write to the Ticket Office requesting tickets，or to confirm a reservation． Where to find Goddington Theater

*Goddington Theater can be found within the Goddington University site，next to the car park，which is available for public use after 5p．m．on weekdays and all day on weekends．

If travelling by car

*Coming from the south end of Princes Street，you will see the library on your right．Next to the library is Goddington University．Take the next turning on the right，then first right into the car park gate straight ahead of you，stopping as close as possible to the orange machine．Put a $ 1coin in the machine and the gate will rise．

If travelling by train/bus/taxi

*You will need to allow 30minutes to walk from the train station．Taxis are available from the front of the station．

*The University is a 5to 10minutes'walk from the main bus station．

*When ordering a taxi from the theater，ask to be picked up at the bottom of North Street．Taxis will not come into the car park because of the entrance charge．
