Dumbo(March 29)

Dumbois a 1941 American film produced by Walt Disney Productions. The main character is an elephant who is nicknamed “Dumbo”. Dumbo is always laughed at for his big ears, and he is rejected by the other elephants. With no parent to care for him, he is alone. But in fact, he is capable of flying by using his ears as wings. A live-action adaptation of the film directed by Tim Burton is scheduled to be released on March 29, 2019.

Shazam! (April 5)

Shazamis an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film is set to star Asher Angel as Billy Batson, a teenage boy who can transform via the magic word “Shazam” into an adult superhero, played by Zachary Levi. It will be the first film version of the character since the 1941 seriesAdventures of Captain Marvel(the character’s original name).

Aladdin(May 24)

Aladdin is a fictional character and the role of the film Aladdin (1992) based onAladdin, a folk tale of Middle Eastern origin He is voiced by Scott Weinger, while his singing voice is provided by Brad Kane. Aladdin never received a formal education, and has only learned by living on the streets of Agrabah. He has to steal food in the local market in order to survive. Mena Massoud is set to play a live-action version of the character in a live action adaptation of the 1992 film.

Godzilla, King of the Monsters(May 31)

Godzilla, King of the Monstersis a 1956 Japanese-American science fiction film, co-directed by Terry O. Morse and Ishiro Honda. It is a heavily re-edited American adaptation. For this new version of Godzilla, some of the original Japanese dialogue was translated into English, and some of the political, social and anti-nuclear themes were removed completely.

【推荐3】Chinese fans might just be on cloud nine right now since the movie Spirited Away has finally been scheduled for a June 21 release in Chinese mainland. The movie made by Studio Ghibli was originally released in 2001 and quickly gained fame around the world for the fascinating and thrilling story it offers. It follows the adventures of a 10-year-old girl named Chihiro, voiced by Zhou Dongyu, as she wanders around the spirit world to bring her parents back to their original form after turning into pigs. In the magical world, she encounters challenges and a cunning witch, voiced by Wang Lin, who wants to keep Chihiro as her servant forever. She also meets a boy named Haku, voiced by Jing Boran, who will help her through the journey, Peng Yuchang gives life to Kaonashi, and Tian Zhuangzhuang takes the role of Kamaji.

Spirited Away remains to this day the only non-English language title to earn the Best Animated Feature prize. It is also the highest grossing film in Japanese history. The anime grossed over $275 million in Japan during its initial release, out-grossing such box office-Titanic. Studio Ghibli films have remained popular in China. It’s currently the second Studio Ghibli film to make its way in China, the first being My Neighbor Totoro which was digitally remastered and shown in Chinese mainland cinemas last December.

Anime has long been popular with audiences and $83 million of Your Name’s total gross came from the Chinese mainland. The Totoro release was a huge box office success with more than $26 million, and Spirited Away is widely expected to perform even better given its popularity.

*The camp will run for 5 hours each day: 9 am-2 pm.

*This class is 100% hands-on and very active. Everything your kids learn, they will do – no indoor classrooms or long lectures.

Dates offered

– We offer 1 public camp date each summer for ages 8–12. For 2019, that date is August 5 – 8 (9 am – 2 pm each day).

– We also arrange custom/private camp dates for both kids and teens all year round.

**Add shuttle ride to/from downtown Santa Cruz for $160 ($40 per day)

**At this time we do not have shuttle service from the Silicon Valley side of the hill, but we do work to help organize carpools（拼车）from the Los Gatos/Saratoga/ Campbell area each year for interested parents.

Don’t miss our new summer classes, which are available during May 23—Aug 5!

● Swimming lessons: Age 4 – adult. Cost: $5 per class or $15 for one month.

● Hiking: Have a park keeper hike with you through our paths and teach you about the park’s wildlife and plants. The park is a perfect spot for hiking.

● Soccer: Our youth soccer program is unusual and non-competitive. Different teams are formed every day. The focus is on each player learning to work as a team, not on one team winning it at all.

● Boating: These classes are only for 20-year-olds and above. Fishing is only allowed with a permit.

● Bicycling: We have special paths built for bicyclists. Signs are posted for self-guided tours of our park.

Group cycling is also available with a park guide. Paths range from easy to challenging.

Hiking paths! Sports fields! Playgrounds! Campgrounds! Fun activities! The State Park offers something for everyone. We have a number of plants and animals, which are in danger of dying out, being protected in our park. Sign up for one of our new summer community classes, or take a camping trip with your friends or family. All the facilities here are set up with modern systems, so you don’t have to struggle while enjoying yourself—unless you want to!
