Participating in the random culture is no longer simply a hobby,     1     a form of data labour. From celebrity ranking lists based on followers and engagement, to singing TV contests     2     (allow)the public to cast votes, fans have become active     3     (participate)in feeding the idol worship machine like never before. But in many instanced, their behaviour has turned toxic. From stalking     4     cyber-bullying and spreading rumors, organized fan groups have increasingly taken     5     (they) “love” to crazy extreme.

“The chaos in celebrity fan clubs shows that bad fan culture has reached     6     critical moment that must be corrected,” the country's top disciplinary body said on a post.

There needs to be a limitation of irrational star-chasing. If celebrities are expected to be models, then it is natural that online fan groups need to be regulated too     7     (promote)a healthy internet culture overall.

Bookstore brand targets isolated areas closer to cultural traditions, helping them open a prosperous new chapter, Yang Yang reports.

Five years ago, Qian Xiaohua, founder of Librairie Avant-Garde, a bookstore brand based in Nanjing, Jiangsu province,     1     (come) to Kaiping, a county-level city of Jiangmen, Guangdong province, to look for a site in the countryside     2     might be transformed into a modern bookstore. “We believe that Chinese culture     3     (root) in the rural areas.     4     (promote) Chinese culture, we first need to bring the rural areas to life. After a year and a half of design and construction, on November 11, Jiangmen Kaiping Avant-Garde Bookshop was opened, covering an area of 1,553 square meters.     9     total of 38,000 books are displayed throughout the five buildings.
