Kattah and other disabled people have found a home once a month at an indoor skydiving center in Davie, US. Every     1    （two）Thursday of the month, it hosts a special event for 2.    2    （physical）challenged people,     3     which they can experience what it’s like     4    fly）.

The experience is safe and almost anyone of any age can participate. Few people emerge (出来) from the wind tunnel     5     a big smile on their face, and applause always erupts from the people     6    （sit）in the observation area.

“When you’re handicapped, you usually have to do things in     7    different way from everybody else,” he said. “Here, you’re doing what everybody else is doing. That’s     8    turned me on to it.”

This is also why Kattah has started sharing her experiences on a blog. She wants to send a message to people like her that even though they may find     9    （limit）restricted by their disability, there’s always something they can do that they never     10    （think） thought they’d be able to do.

Getting around the city when you are six months pregnant and have a two-year-old girl can be really challenging. One spring afternoon，we went to one of the grocery     1    （store）nearby to buy some food for dinner. There was no sign of rain，and the store was just around the corner，    2     we went there without an umbrella. However，we were about     3    （leave）the store when the rain came in full force. It seemed that the streets would be flooded     4     water within minutes.

I noticed a young Chinese couple staring at     5    （we）when we came to a crossroad and were waiting for the light to change. I figured they were     6    （probable）wondering why a pregnant foreigner was dragging her little kid out through the rain. But as we crossed the street，    7     woman offered me her umbrella. I told her I couldn't take it because it was clearly starting to storm. She insisted and handed it to me as she     8    （hurry）off with her husband.

Though     9    （catch）in the rain unexpectedly，we still treasured the memory and will always recall the     10    （warm）and kindness of the Chinese couple.

The United Nations is not only committed to     1     (protect) people. It looks after places, too. One of the aims of UNESCO—the United Nations Educational, scientific and Cultural Organization—which was founded in 1946, was to protect places     2     great cultural importance.

Its first major task was in the 1950s,    3     it launched a campaign to protect two ancient Egyptian temples which were going to be     4     (complete) flooded with the     5     (construct) of the huge Aswan Dam. If a site is put on the List of World Heritage in Danger, it means that it will receive money from the World Heritage Fund to help protect it. However, countries must make as much effort as they can     8     (look) after their special places and preserve the world’s     9     (remain) cultural and     10     (nature) heritages for the future.

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, also known as UNICEF, is a United Nations     1    (organize) based in New York. It offers help needed by children all over the world. UNICEF was founded     2     11^th December, 1946 to provide food and healthcare to children in countries damaged in World War II.
