The Battersea power station has London’s newest ice-skating arena. Glide has three interconnected skating areas around a 10-metre Christmas tree. There is a rinkside bar serving wine and hot chocolate; street-food trucks and huts dishing up hog roasts and fondues; and a vintage fun fair.

Wake the Tiger, Bristol
This “amazement park” combines an art gallery, theme park and film set. Artists, videographers and robotics experts have teamed up to make an immersive experience with 27 different environments, such as secret passageways, hidden forests and ice caves. Visitors enter a portal to a parallel dimension , emerging in an abandoned factory that is now home to alchemists (炼金术士) who are trying to save the world.

The Children’s Country House at Sudbury, Derbyshire
Sudbury Hall in Derbyshire reopened as the Children’s Country House - the first stately home aimed at kids. The National Trust worked with 100 children to make the hall fun and interactive, so now visitors can create their own portraits in the picture gallery, dance and sing in the saloon and curl up with a book in the library. There is also an evacuee - themed escape room, a revamped museum of childhood and gardens with new play and picnic areas.

Eureka ! Science and Discovery, Merseyside
Designed for children under 15, Eureka! is a museum aiming to bring science, technology, engineering and maths to life. Home, exploring how things around the house work; and Nature, looking at solutions to big environmental problems. Mersey Ferries is offering museum-goers 20% off river cruise tickets, so families can combine a visit with a hop-on, hop-off boat trip from Liverpool.

Dim sum is one of the most popular Cantonese cuisine dishes. It contains a large range of small dishes, including dumplings, rolls, cakes, meat, seafood, dessert, and vegetable preparations. There are more than one thousand dim sum dishes in existence today. People of Guangdong are fond of drinking tea in the morning or at lunch. So, they often eat dim sum during their tea parties for breakfast or lunch. It is a popular way to get together with friends and relatives or have social gatherings.

St. Marks Lighthouse
Constructed in 1842, it is located on the east side of the entrance to the St. Marks River. Over the years, oil, kerosene, and electricity have powered the lamp which could be seen up to 15 miles. In 1960, the light was automated. The tower is closed to climbing but the restored Keeper’s Quarters are open the first Friday and Saturday of each month, 10am—4pm.
Crooked River Lighthouse
The lighthouse stands on the mainland. It is open, weather permitting, for climbs Wednesday through Friday 11 am—4pm, Saturday 9am—4pm and Sunday 1 pm—4pm. The cost for climbing the lighthouse is $5 per person. All climbers must be at least 44 inches tall.
Cape St. George Lighthouse
It stands at the center of St. George Island. The beach erosion (侵蚀) caused its collapse on October 21, 2005. Dedicated volunteers saved more than 22, 000 original bricks from the ruins and with community support and public and private funding, it was successfully rebuilt. The lighthouse is open daily except Thursday. Climbing fees are $5 for adults; $3 for children. The lighthouse and gift shop are open daily 10am—5 pm(Sunday: noon—5pm; Thursday: closed).
Cape San Bias Lighthouse
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. Tower climbs are available($5 for adults, $3 for children over 44 inches tall and under age 12). It is open for climbing Wednesday through Saturday 11 am—5pm. Call to ask about extended summer or holiday hours and be sure to visit its Sleeping Beauty Gift Shop, which offers a display of paintings of all Florida’s lighthouses by Mary Alice Cullifer.
