Some movies better picture some areas of study that are difficult to understand with just textbook assignments. Here are some.
WALL·E
This science fiction movie helps to improve our focus on ways to find what life is about and to face the problem rather than sitting with it. And at times it is important to live the life rather than surviving and it is good to make decisions based on the current status of the situation rather than going with the past experiences.
Legally Blonde
This is the story of a young girl who overcame her inferiority feelings and insecurity to get her education from Harvard Law School. It is inspiring for those who fail to recognize their talents and keep on standing backwards. This movie makes it to the point that a good effort and a determination can help anyone to make use of their potential and gain more respect in life.
The Manhattan Project
This movie tells the story of teenagers whose school science project came out in a much bigger way than the norms. The making of nuclear bomb by the students with the information gathered from the Internet is inspiring in terms of what a teenager can do with will power and hard work.
Remember the Titans
This movie showcases the importance of team work, a true leader and perseverance to achieve success. It tells the story of a good coach of a school’s football team who used his leadership qualities to bridge the cultural gap among his students to help them perform as a team and win the championship.

However, even as Sully was being cheered by the public and the media for his unique achievement of flying skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career. Tom Hanks acting the part of Sully is the heart and soul of this film.
Out of all the highly emotional films released this year so far, Sully is the best one, hands down. Out of all the nonfiction films released this year, Sully is the greatest. From extraordinary directing to emotional acting, Sully is easily one of the best films of this year.
Interestingly enough, although this film may have a few action scenes, it shouldn’t be branded as an action movie. It is full-on intense drama, with two or three jokes that are original and funny, but don’t turn the film into a comedy. The story itself can also be considered an emotional and physical dramatic adventure that changes the lives of the characters forever.
Sully begins when US Airways Flight 1549 lands in the water in the Hudson River after both engines are destroyed by birds. Luckily, not one passenger is injured and this is due to the skill of both rescue teams and pilot Sully Sullenbrger (Tom Hanks) and First Officer Jeffrey Skiles (Aaron Eckhart). Unfortunately, the nightmare(噩梦) is not over. Even though all passengers are in safety, it is still a major question if Sully should have landed the plane in the water and if he might have had enough speed and altitude to reach the runway at an actual airport.
This is a very famous story that happened in 2009, but many people do not know what happened after the plane water landed. Sully truly shows all the events of this flight. Another amazing aspect of the film is the acting. Both Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart play the pilots wonderfully. Not only do the two look so much like the actual people, they also got their personalities right too. The two actors do well in the scenes where they keep imagining the crash, and it clearly affects them day after day, Clint Eastwood has directed many films, but Sully is certainly one of his best. The story does not feel like it lasts 96 minutes and I was surprised when it ended. Sully really does keep you on the edge of your seat using cinematography—the art of making films that makes you feel like you are a part of the movie, acting that is emotional and dramatic and even special effects that make it look very real. Something to note, the film was shot with IMAX cameras so seeing it in IMAX theatres gives you the best possible experience.
My favourite scene is the actual plane crash. From taking off, to the passengers getting into rescue boats, this scene keeps your heart beating very fast. I personally suffer from a fear of flying and it pumped me full of adrenaline (肾上腺素). I could not blink (眨眼) until I found out what happened next. The special effects of the plane going down in the middle of New York looks very realistic and intense. On top of that, the emotional acting of not only the pilots, but the passengers and the flight attendants brings even more drama to the scene. It is easily the most intense scene in the whole film and, because of cinematography, it makes you feel like you are a part of it, is borderline scary.
Sully is a very mature story. And though it lacks adult content, language or blood, it is prepared for a mature audience because of its intense and dramatic scenes. I definitely give Sully 5 out of 5 stars for its extraordinary directing, wonderful cinematography, emotional acting and realistic special effects.

This is the quality that the hero named Sharad (Aditya Modak) has to organize his life around, and we witness both his patience and frustrations as he comes to terms with the possibility that he might never find a proper position in the world he loves. Is he good enough, as a singer or as a student? It is a question unanswered in the film.
It is a story about the relationship between art and artists. It shows us the confusion Sharad, an Indian classical music fan, is faced with after years of pursuit of music dream. Even though he is anxious about his poverty and ordinariness, he continues to study day after day. He shows great respect for his teacher, a distinguished old musician, treating his teacher like his father. However, when he finds out his teacher is not as respectable as he thought, he begins to question whether it is worth his efforts or not.
Slow-paced as this Marathi film may seem, it becomes a hypnotic experience as you become invested in the central character and his journey. The narrative moves around in time, giving us glimpses of Sharad’s poor childhood and the present day, where he tries to draw help from audio recordings of talks by the late teacher named Maai (voiced by Sumitra Bhave). Tamhane’s long takes and almost-unchanging shots — characteristic of his earlier feature Court — work wonderfully for this subject matter. In the musical performances, the camera sometimes moves only very slightly forward, as if mindful of disturbing the performers’ space.
The Disciple is also driven by its attention to detail and its many little vignettes(简介) — the mildly regretted look on Sharad’s face when his teacher tells him, mid-performance and in front of a seated audience, “No, you aren’t listening”, or the slow upgrade to hostility(敌意) when the mother of one of his students asks that her boy should be allowed to take time off to perform with a “rock” band.
1. Why can the film also be titled “discipline”?A.The film questions the significance of discipline. |
B.The film talks about the role that discipline plays in music. |
C.The hero is a self-disciplined person and has experienced a lot. |
D.The hero doubts whether discipline can lead to his dream. |
A.Dull. | B.Fascinating. |
C.Tough. | D.Heart-breaking. |
A.The deep love for classical music. |
B.The depression of not realizing his dream. |
C.The poverty in his childhood. |
D.The praise from his teacher. |
A.Education. | B.Entertainment. |
C.Science. | D.Lifestyle. |

One of the best ways to stay fit and healthy as you age is to do strength and power training exercises. It is known that when you are in your thirties, you will begin to lose muscle mass. Strength training can help you build muscles, make you strong, increase your staying power and make everyday activities easier. By combining strength and power training exercises, you’ll not only get stronger, but also improve your reaction speed. As you grow older, that’s critical because it can help prevent falls.
