People have different ideas about how the Internet     1     (affect) friendships.  

Some people think the Internet can harm friendships. Firstly, talking online is no     2     (replace) for face-to-face contact—images really cannot replace     3     real-life smile or hug. Secondly, lots of the content     4     (post) on social media is shallow or trivial. Thirdly, online relationships may not be what they appear to be. Going online can be particularly dangerous for people     5     are easily influenced or too trusting. Others believe the Internet can help develop friendships in many ways. Firstly, the Internet makes communication much     7    (convenient). Secondly, the Internet has also made communication more fun. You can share photos, videos, news stories, and websites     8     your friends online. Thirdly, online communication can actually bring people closer to each other. Whenever someone needs help, friends from all over the world can     9     (immediate) provide useful suggestions or information. Finally, I believe the Internet brings people closer together and makes communication with friends more convenient and     10     (interest).

When someone has deeply hurt you, it can be very difficult to let go of your anger. But forgiveness is possible—and it can be surprisingly     1     (benefit) to your physical and mental health. So far, research     2     (show) that people who forgive can have more energy, better appetite and better sleep. “People who forgive show     3     (little) anger and more hopefulness,” says Dr. Frederic Luskin, who wrote the book Forgive for Good. “So it can help reduce the tiredness out of the immune system and allow people       4     (feel) more energetic.”

So when someone has hurt you, cool down first. Take a couple of breaths and think of something       5     gives you pleasure: a beautiful scene in nature, or someone you love. Don’t wait for an       6       (apologize). “Many times the person who hurt you may never think of apologizing,” says Dr. Luskin. “They may have wanted to hurt you or they just don’t see things in     7     same way. So if you wait for people to say sorry, you could be waiting a very long time.”

Next keep in mind that forgiveness does not necessarily mean     8    (accept) the action of the person who upsets you. Instead, learn to look       9    the love, beauty and kindness around you. Finally, try to see     things from the other person’s perspective. You may realize that he or she was acting out of ignorance. To gain perspective, you may want to write a letter to     10    (you) from that person’s point of view.

Sometimes we have a fight with a friend. Many times, you find that you even forget     1     the fight was about. You just seem to be     2     (anger), and then stop     3     (talk) to each other. Time goes by and you realize that you miss     4     friendship, and wish you could talk to your friend again. And     5     (probable) your friend feels the same way as you do. So how can you get out of the fight without     6     (hurt) your feelings?

Leave the argument alone, and avoid communication. If you talk right after fight, you will say many     7     (word) out of anger. However, do not wait too long. It will become hard     8     (make) up the relationship after too long waiting. So after the fight calms down, make sure you talk to the person before it is too late.
