Roborock Q5+ iLifeV3s Pro Robot Eufy RoboVae 11S iRobot Roomba S9+ Samsung Jet Bot Al+
Roborock Q5+
Roborock’s midrange model overcomes most of the limitations of robot vacuums. It’s easy to clean, maps rooms flawlessly, and goes far on a charge. It doesn’t sense when its bin is full but can follow voice commands.
Price:$500. roborock.com

iLifeV3s Pro Robot
A budget alternative, this machine “outperformed much more expensive vacuums.” You control it with a remote, not an app. But it’s thorough, avoids obstacles, and has no brushes that would require regular cleaning to remove fur and hair.
Price: $165, iliferobot.com
Source: Better Homes &Gardens
Eufy RoboVac 11S
This budget option is “surprisingly thorough.” It cleans more randomly because it doesn’t map your space and it doesn’t empty its own bin. But it’s quieter than its smart rivals and “a great value for light everyday maintenance.”
Price: $140. eufy.com

iRobot Roomba S9+
Roomba’s top-end model can’t match the cleaning power of a traditional vacuum, but it has few robotic rivals on that score. Another plus: The bin is automatically emptied into a disposable bag in the docking station.
Price: $799, irobot.com

Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Though this pricey vacuum delivers “below average” cleaning performance, it’s good-looking, gentle on furniture, and is “packed full of features.” It can even double as a patrolling security camera that will live-stream to your phone.

The impression I had of India were only based upon a few summer visits to my grandparents, filled with heat, pollution and dirt. Even though I was only six years old, I know this would be a complete change from my comfortable life in Maryland.
During my first six months in India, my expectations were met almost exactly. I hated my new apartment; I missed my school and friends back in Maryland, and I was sick of all the dirty marketplaces that filled the streets of New Delhi.

It was then that I became completely involved in my school. My school, the American Embassy School, was filled with international students: Europeans, Australians, Chinese, and Americans just like me. But they all welcomed me with open arms. It was amazing to be among such diverse students, who had such incredible experiences to share.
Now, when I look back at my time in India, all I can think about is how fortunate I am to have had such a wonderful experience. My move to India not only allowed me to see a completely different side of the
world, but I was also able to establish unbreakable bonds with so many interesting and amazing people. Even now, after quite some years, I am still in contact with my closest friends from the American Embassy School. I cannot even imagine what I would be like without having lived in India. Turning water into instant ice
One can’t go to the Ice-Snow World without stopping by the Sun Island Snow Expo. After all, the former is for appreciating illuminated (照亮的) ice at night, and the latter is for checking out snow in the daytime. Tourists from the south might be astonished by the bright sunshine reflected in the snow, so don’t forget the sunscreen.
This is also a good place to toss (抛) water and watch it turn into ice instantly. Find a safe place with no one nearby, and enjoy the unique phenomenon.
Snow tubing (雪地滑轮胎) on the Songhua River
In winter, the Songhua River turns into “thousands of miles of ice” and becomes a natural ice-skating rink. The frozen river offers opportunities for many different winter activities. But make sure the ice is solid before going stomping (跺脚) in the snow.
Speeding down Yabuli Ski Resort
One place you shouldn’t miss when visiting Harbin is Yabuli Ski Resort, where you can ski down splendid snow-covered mountains. The snow is thick and moderately hard. There are junior, middle and senior ski runs. Professional staff are available to improve your skiing ability.

Athens, Greece
In Athens, every November the crowds lift and temperatures stay around the mid-20s, so have a trip to the Parthenon and Acropolis. A full afternoon is also necessary for exploring the Museum of Cycladic Art and its exhibitions—recently it has hosted Picasso’s.
In the streets of the Pysrri district is a hidden hole in the wall, from which one can go down to the basement restaurant, Diporto.
Huaraz, Peru
To some, Peru gives people images of students in printed shorts on a tour of Machu Picchu. There’s obviously so much more to do in the UNESCO World Heritage (遗产) site. Any hike through the surrounding Huascaran National Park will have you feeling like you’ve stepped into a Lord of the Rings film.
April and November are considered “shoulder season”, which means fewer clear days but you can enjoy the trails with fewer people.
Edinburgh, UK
Yes, it’s probably going to be freezing cold. Hot coffee steam up in a pleasing, romantic fashion in cafes. People can take a few minutes’ walk from the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
For simple Scottish dishes there’s neighbourhood inn the Little Chartroom, and the Sheep Heid Inn has been long enough to have served Mary, Queen of Scots. In the eight bedrooms at the 18th century Rock House, each is a mixture of ancient details and current fashion.
Valletta, Malta
Flights from the UK to Malta’s capital are only around f30, making it one of the best destinations for a November trip. This tiny city has a temperature of 17 and has changed itself into a year-round city break with artistic cafes, hotels and newly opened galleries—Muza opened last year and houses the former National Gallery collection.
