I’m Li Hua. Today I am honored to represent we graduates to deliver a speech.

Firstly, I’d like to express our heartfelt thanks to the help offering by our teachers. Without your guidance and encourage, we couldn’t have made such a great progress. Now we have not only had a good command of all the subjects, but also learned how to get along good with each other and how to be a responsible person. How a good time! To repay you, we should work much hard to serve the people and society better in the future. Next, as for my friends, I sincerely hope that you will make great achievement in your future life and career.

Thanks again. I wish all of you realize your dreams.

Chinese idioms reflect our tradition culture. In order to promote our understand of them, we have recently set up a new column calls Chinese Idioms in our school newspaper. The column needs some articles in that introduce Chinese idioms in English.

The bell rang. Our English teacher Miss Brown came in. Everything went smooth in her class. All of us listened attentively but answered questions correctly. The smile on her face suggested that she be satisfied with our performance. Towards the end of the class, she asked which one of you would like to come up to the front and repeat the story. While said these words, she looked at all the students with expression of hope in her eyes, I step to the front quickly and began to repeat the story with confident. After I finished, I returned back to my seat. My hear rate was fast than ever until Miss Brown said “Well done”.

One year ago, I had a special English lesson hold at the railway station. It was quite different from the regular English classes we were familiar to, for we had no textbooks, no blackboard and no fixed seats.

Gathered at the entrance of the station, we were told to collect many English words and sentences as possible there. Curious and excited, they walked around the station and looked everywhere, searching for any informations in English. Whenever an English word comes into sight, the class would burst into the cheers as if we had discovered a new world. With the Chinese translation and vividly pictures, we could figure out their meaning with ease.

Now, this unforgettable lesson still encourages me to be an active learner where I go.

Last year I attended an after-school program calling Young at Arts where I learned dancing. My most favorite teacher at Young at Arts was Mrs. Li. She changed the way she looked at life. Before I met Mrs. Li, I wouldn’t dare to trying anything I didn’t think I would be successfully in. Mrs. Li talked with me to help me get through hard times that I was frustrated with not only dancing, but also life. She teach me that my attitude can be important than my talent. It was her encourage that helped me leave my comfort zone and achieved what I hadn’t expected before.

Our school is planning to offer us a cooking course, to whom students have different attitudes. In my opinions, the cooking course is beneficial but enjoyable. There are a few advantages of attending them. For example, we can learn from a very useful skill to help ourselves not only live independent but also take care of our parents. Besides, taking this course was a way to make us feel relaxing and enrich our school life. To make this course great success, our school should tell us how to cook safely to avoid get hurt while we are practicing cooking.
