Last weekend, my brother and I went to a nursing home for voluntary works. We went there by bus. On the way, we discussed how we could do for the old there. The moment we arrived at there, we were greeted by a warmly welcome. Seeing that their rooms were dirty, my brother suggested we cleaned them. Two hours later, we had to wave goodbye to them, promise to come back again. We felt proud of us. We thought it was indeed unforgettable experience for both of us. I do believe unless all of us can do something for the old, we will real make a difference.

All the class were very pleasing because we went to a nearby nursing home to celebrate the festival with the elderly people lived there. As soon as we got there, we warmly welcomed. Then we helped do some of cleaning. Some students swept the floor, and the others wiped the windows. The elderly were watching us and were very happy with their work. We didn’t stop working that all the rooms were clean and tidy. At around 1 pm, we went to the sports room which we sang and danced for the senior citizens. We gave them many gift before we left for home. How a wonderful time we had!

This morning, our school held a fire drill. We were listening to the teacher attentively in the math class while we heard the fire alarm from the speaker on the wall. The teachers stopped teaching immediately and instructing us to exit the classroom in order. When it got into the passageway, we found we were surrounded by heavy smoke somewhere. It was choking and our tears ran down. We bent down, covered our mouths with handkerchiefs, and ran downstairs rapid into the open on the playground, just as we had taught before.
When we come back to our classroom, we gave a summary of this fire drill. I think the fire disasters often happen. So we should know the tips to escape from a fire for case of emergency.

The tornado warning was sounded just as we were about to leave to school. I looked outside. We have been taught to identify a tornado. I could not see a whirlwind but sky was dark. My family went into our shelter, which emergency food and water had been kept.
We were only there for an hour. My brother and I were scaring. We remembered the last time it was a tornado a few mile away. Even the grass was torn up from the ground. Mother cheered me up by talking about our next holiday.
Once we were told it was safe, and we went up. We were gratefully that the tornado missed us.
