It’s common high school students to skip breakfast,leading to great damage to their health. Chopsticks, also know as kuai zi , are the most important eating tools in China. Chinese use it during each meal. Chopsticks can be made not only bamboo and also of many other materials. They use the theory of leverage to picking up various kinds of food easy. Manners are important where Chinese use chopsticks just like westerners use forks and knives. Chinese had been using kuai zi for at least 3,000 years. Chopsticks used in other Asian countries like Japan and ROK, too. The materials come from nature. They represent the wise of Chinese.

The book I'm reading talks about the afternoon tea in the Britain. According to the book, it is called the afternoon tea today starts in the early 1800's. Having tea in the later afternoon provided a bridge between lunch and dinner, which might not being served until 8 o'clock in the evening. Interesting, the afternoon tea custom soon led a rapid growth in the porcelain( 瓷器)industry.

Tea in China was traditionally drank from cups without handle(柄).When tea became popularity in Britain, there was a crying need for the porcelain industry to produce cup with handles to suit the new need.

My friends and I paid a family visit to Luoyang last month. Luoyang, when there are many historical sites, have a long history in China. An old couple there were retired and stayed at home. And they were friendly to visitors comes to their home from many different country.

We tasted the true home-cooked dishes in their home. For dinner, the couple would prepare a list of menus in the advance. Our tour guide asked us with advice about the food, but the couple would try to cook what we wanted to eat. We just enjoyed the deliciously dishes.

We were also offering a general cooking class. The couple taught us how make dumplings. The family visit was a good chance to get to know local people's daily life.
