During the summer vacation this year，I thought I should do everything meaningful instead of stay at home，so I got a job at a KFC fast food restaurant and worked there like a cleaner.I worked eight hours a day for three week.The job was hard and bored，and it seemed endless，what made me so tired that I nearly gave it up halfway.And I stuck to it with great determination.Every day I start off for work early in the morning and got to home late in the evening.Finally I finished the job before the new term began.
Now，I understand what labor means.I think it is great experience.

I found a wallet a couple of weeks ago in the car, where I was renting. The wallet had credit cards but quite a bit of cash inside. The gentleman it was belonged to happened to be celebrating his birthday that same day. I was able to mail him his wallet. A few weeks later I receive this. “Jamie, I can’t tell you how fortunately I felt when I received my wallet sending by you. It is rare that someone can return a wallet, let alone return with 100% of its content. I’ll be thankful for you forever.” Tears filled my eye when I finished reading a note.

It was Women’s Day. I decided to give my mother a surprise. Immediately after the school, I started to prepare dinner. It is the first time that I had cooked something on her own. Not knowing the exact procedures to cook, I read some recipe first. Keeping that I had learned in mind, I set about cook. Almost an hour later, three simple but deliciously dishes were ready on the table. No soon had everything been ready than she came back. A big smile with both surprise and satisfaction spread on Mom’s face when she found the hearty dinner but the tidy room. At that moment, pride rose the bottom of my heart.
