Maria, a 91-year-old woman, has an unbelievable experience last week. A group of thief broke into her house but took nothing away with themselves. Maria remembered that the windows were broken and all her boxes were opened, and nothing was missing. Instead, she found a handwritten note that was said that “This is to help you get by.” Besides a note there was some money. It seemed that the thieves realized how poor Maria lived and decided not to take something - but to help. One policeman who has been working for 40 years was surprising by this event too. Later Maria framed the note receiving from her friendly thieves and used the money buy sweets for her great grandchildren.

My class made a show last week. Many students play musical instruments or told jokes, but I chose sing my favorite song. I had sung it many times but could sing it very well. However, it didn’t go as I had expected. When I was calling, I walked on the stage. All of a sudden, 45 classmates were watching us. I became such nervous that my body was shaking. Then the music started. I couldn’t remember for the first part of the song and didn’t sing it at all. To my surprises, instead of laughing at me, my classmates tried to cheer me on. I became relaxing and sang the rest wonderfully. It was really a unforgettable experience.

Last month our class organized a hiking along the Chaobai River, which run through Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin. Much to my disappoint, I found the river was serious polluted. At that moment, I was determined to do what I could protect it. First, under my teacher’s help, I used the equipment from the school lab to test the qualities of the river water. But then, I used the information I had collected it to analyze the pollution of the water. Finally, I write a report on the pollution of the river to the local government. I also gave a speech in class which I suggested that we make small changes to protect our water resources.
After school, I was about to enter my apartment building when I saw a little dirty dog lie beside the dustbin. He looked extreme weak. Immediately the homeless dog filled me of sympathy, so I decided to take him home. I gave to him some food and a bath. After the bath he looked energetic and refreshed. What a lovely dog!
When my parents got home, I asked that I could keep the dog. To my surprises and happiness, they agreed. Up to now, he has become member of our family. Everyone had enjoyed his company.
Looking at the cute, happy dog today, I realize that I did the right thing. I just offered him a shelter and he has brought ourselves great happiness and laughter.
