Cindy was an office worker. One day she went to the airport(机场) to meet Alan Cool. However, the man was ________ .

Carlee Taylor is a 15-year-old girl from America. She has a special ability(能力). She can speak to her cow Bessie. Bessie weighs(重达)1,500 pounds. It listens to Taylor. When Taylor asks it to lie down, it lies down. It even gives Taylor a kiss. Why does Bessie listen to her? Taylor says that her secret (秘诀)is the way of talking.

When Taylor was young, she often went to her uncle’s farm. There were lots of cows on the farm. She loves cows very much. She helped her uncle take care of them. For example, she fed the cows and cleaned the cows’ houses.

Last year, Taylor went to take part in a special game about cows. She won the first place with Bessi. Taylor was proud of Bessie. Her parents were also excited to know Taylor and Bessie won the game.

Once, a woman went on a trip by plane. She sat next to a lawyer (律师). The lawyer was bored, so he asked the woman if she wanted to play a fun game with him.

The woman didn’t want to play at first. Then the lawyer said to her, “ If I can’t answer your question , I give you 50 dollars. If you can’t answer my question, you give me five dollars.” The lawyer thought that he couldn’t lose and after some time the woman said, “ Yes.”

The lawyer asked first, “ How long is it between the earth(地球）and the nearest star?” Without saying a word, the woman gave him five dollars. Then the woman asked, “What goes up a hill with three legs and comes back down the hill with four legs?”

The lawyer didn’t know the answer. He thought hard for a long time and even called his friends for help. But they didn’t know the answer, either. So he gave the woman 50 dollars.

The woman took the 50 dollars without saying a word, but the lawyer wanted to know the answer. “ What is the answer to your question?” he asked.

Without saying a word, the woman gave him five dollars.

Kobe Bryant used to be one of the most popular basketball players in the world. He has a great number of fans around the world because he was really good at playing basketball. But sadly, he died in a helicopter crash(直升机坠毁）with his daughter Gigi on 26th, January 2020.

Kobe once wrote a book—The Wizenard Series: Training Camping. The book is based on parts of Bryant’s real-life experience(经历). Bryant said he didn’t think he was going to be a writer. But that he often told stories to his daughters is one of the reasons why he wrote his own book. During Bryant’s life, he won many honors and he was the king of NBA. He had two different numbers on his sports shirts: 8 and 24 during his career(职业生涯). The number 24 means you need to work hard 24 hours a day to succeed. He was such a great player, as well as a very funny man. His good friend Michael Jordan said with tears, “When Kobe died, a part of my body died.”
