文章大意:本文介绍了身体健康和思想健康的关系以及获得一个健康的身体的方法。

We know a healthy body is very important. But we don’t know a healthy body is necessary for a healthy mind. So if we want to have a sound mind, we must first have a sound body. To keep ourselves healthy, exercise is the best way. When we take part in outdoor sports, we are close to nature and at the same time we can take in fresh air. The beauty of nature will keep us clear-headed. And sports help to give out the wastes in the body. Sports can also make us have a good appetite (胃口). As a result, we can become strong.

I get up early every day. When the alarm clock goes off, I jump from the bed to the floor. Then I take an active part in exercise and enjoy good health. I hardly get sick even if I work a whole day.

As we know, the physical health is important to our sound mind. Without it, the health of our minds is just like a castle in the air. Only with a healthy and strong body can we live a vigorous life. And I will keep on taking exercise to have a longer and better life.

文章大意:本文主要介绍了杂交水稻之父——袁隆平的生平以及杂交水稻的特性。
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。

Yuan Longping, China’s “Father of hybrid rice”(杂交水稻之父), was born in Peking, on September 7th in 1930. He is a Chinese agricultural (农业的) scientist. He is also a great hero in our mind.     31     Last November, he and his team grew a new kind of hybrid rice called “Sanyou No. 1”. Its yield (产量) can reach 1,500 kg per mu(每亩). That means a 1-mu field can feed five people.

When he was young, he saw hundreds and thousands of Chinese people go hungry. He has tried hard to make sure everyone has enough to eat.     32

Hybrid rice is very important for China. About one-fifth of the world’s people live in China.

33     So the rice grown in China has to have a big yield. It has to have more grains (稻粒) in each plant. Its grains have to be bigger. Also, it has to be strong enough for us to grow in deserts, mountains, and snowy villages.

Hybrid rice can take in water and nutrition (营养) from the ground better than the other rice.     34     All of these things help it grow bigger and taller. Its annual yield (年产量) is about 20 percent higher than that of other rice.

“I had a dream. In my dream, rice plants grow as tall as sorghum (高粱), each ear of rice (稻穗) is as big as a broom, and each grain of rice is as huge as a pea-nut,” Yuan said.

It is a pity that two weeks ago our beloved “Father of hybrid rice”, Professor Yuan left us forever. He will always live in our hearts, though.     35

A.He gradated from Souhwest Agriculture College in 1953.
B.Because he fed China and the world.
C.Let’s work hard and take over the responsibility to make his dream come true.
D.It can take in sunlight better as well.
E.It is regarded as the fifth invention after China’s Four Great Inventions.
F.To get closer to this goal, he started to grow hybrid rice.
G.But China only has less than 9 percent of the world’s land.
