In this world, most students usually go to school by bus, by bike or on foot. But there are some other special ways of getting to school.

In a village in Indonesia(印度尼西亚), the students have to cross a broken(坏了的) bridge over a big river to get to their school. To keep the students safe(安全的), their parents have to go with them every time.

In a city in Egypt(埃及), some schools have no real school buses. The students usually take the truck(卡车) to school, and there are always too many students in the truck.

In a far-away village school in Philippines, the students there take a bamboo raft(竹筏) to school every day. It sounds fun, but it takes a lot of time to go to school, and it’s kind of dangerous.

In a village in Sri Lanka, some students have to cross a bridge made of a piece of wood(木头) to get to school. It’s dangerous, too.

For all these students above, it’s not very easy to get to school. But they are not afraid at all. They love school and their teachers. And they think it’ s fun to study in school and play with their classmates.

Now school is over. Many     34     go home happily, but Jenny doesn’t. It’s     35    outside. She wants to go home when the rain stops.     36     after half an hour, it still rains. She has to go out of the classroom with her red umbrella (雨伞). She     37     at home at about 4:50 p.m. Her mother is making dinner in the kitchen. Her father is reading a     38    on the sofa. “It’s so cold!” she says to her father.

“Oh, dear,     39     are you so wet?” “Because my umbrella is broken (坏了).” Jenny says sadly.

“Put on some     40     clothes,” her father says. Then she goes to her room. After a while, she goes out of her room and     41     her father working on the umbrella.

“What are you doing, Dad?” she asks. “ I’m mending (修理) your umbrella.” her father says.

“I     42     you like the umbrella very much. And you can use it    43    ”.   

“Thank you, Dad.” Jenny is very happy.
