What’s your favorite weather? Do you like sunny or rainy days? Many people like sunny days a lot. They don’t like rain. They think rain makes them feel sad. During a long vacation, they like going to the beach to enjoy the sunshine. Sunshine makes them feel very good and happy.

I like sunshine very much, but I also enjoy rain. I enjoy the sound of rain. It makes me feel quiet. On rainy days, I like listening to music and reading books or just looking at the rain and daydreaming. When you daydream, you don’t think about other things. I think it’s a good way to relax when it rains.

Sunshine can make one run around and rain can make one quiet, so I hope you can feel happy, no matter whether it rains or it’s sunny.

This is a beautiful park near my home. People like to go to the park after work. Some of them go to the park every day. Look! This is Mr. Smith. He is sitting on a chair and watching the children. Some children are playing the game of hide-and-seek (捉迷藏). Some boys are playing yo-yo. Lucy and Lily are standing under a tree. They are talking. There is a small river in the park. We can see some boats in the river. Some children are sitting in the boats with their fathers and mothers. Listen! A lot of birds are singing in the trees. This is really a nice park. I come here to read English after school every day.

Mr. Green works in a high school. He likes reading and often borrows some books from the library. He keeps reading newspapers after supper. So he knows much and teaches well. His students loves him very much. Mike, his little son, is only nine. He also likes reading books. And he often asks his father some questions. Mr. Green always answers difficult ones.

One day Mike read something about phones and he was interested in it. He asked his father a few questions, and his father answered all. His father said, “Fathers always know much, but sons always know little!” The boy thought for a minute and said,”I don’t agree with(同意) you.”

“Oh? Why?”

Mike didn’t answer but asked,“Who invented the phone?”

“Bell.” answered Mr. Green.

“Why didn’t his father invent them?”

Looking at his son, Mr. Green didn’t know how to answer it.

I had a happy weekend last week. Now let me tell you about it.

On Saturday morning, my parents and I went to the new park in our city.     21     They were red, yellow, orange, pink and purple.     22     Then, we went boating in the lake (湖). When it was time for lunch, my parents took me to KFC to have a delicious meal.     23     My cousin happened to (碰巧) be at my grandparents’ home, and we played together happily.

    24     I bought some books and a Chinese-English dictionary. I like reading books. It is very interesting. After I went back home, I read the books I bought in the bookstore.

    25     Playing the piano is one of my hobbies (爱好).
