Wang Dakang has become a model of lifelong learning for his life story.

In the 1980s，he became the first Chinese to complete a round trip of the country only using a bicycle. He rode more than 60，000 kilometers over the course of 1278 days between 1981 and 1984. Later he was invited to write his experience. However, his book was refused because of its terrible grammar at last.

In order to better edit his book to come out, Wang decided to go to college though he was a junior student. At the age of 61, he entered Sichuan Normal College in 1996 to study news. In 2000, Wang began his graduate (研究生) studies. In 2008, he got into Leshan Normal University for music and finished in 2012. His purpose of learning had changed from writing a better book to getting knowledge. Finally his 560,000-word book describing his trip came out in 2016.

Every morning, he gets up at 4:30 am to exercise for half an hour. His study starts at 6 am. He will read People’s Daily and take notes.
