In some parts of our country, some students don’t like to wear uniforms at school. They think the school uniforms are too ________. They like wearing jeans or T-shirts. In order to make children in the mountain villages enjoy a good education, Susan moves to the mountain village when she retires（退休）. She used to be a middle school English teacher. She is a kind person. She loves our education. She cares about the development of the children. She opens a free learning center in the mountain village so that the children have a chance to learn.

In the learning center, Susan is busy all day and she has to get a lot of volunteers（志愿者）to help her. The children have a lot of fun and learn many new things from the volunteers. Susan gets such a strong feeling of happiness every time when she sees the look of joy on the children’s faces.

With the help of Susan and the volunteers, children’s grades are much better than before. And most of them have a dream to go to university（大学）. Can their dreams come true? Of course, they are sure they can.

Most people want themselves to be happy forever, but few know how to find happiness. Others say if you own lots of money and success, you will be happy. However, money and success alone do not bring lasting happiness. A famous Greek thinker, Aristotle, said, “Happiness depends on（取决于）ourselves.” That’s to say, we make our own happiness. Here are a few suggestions to help you be happier.

The first secret of happiness is to enjoy the simple things in life. Too often, we spend so much time thinking about the future, for example, getting into college or getting a good job, which makes us fail to enjoy the present. You should enjoy life’s simple pleasures, such as reading a good book, listening to your favorite music, or spending time with close friends. If you live with a few close friends, you will feel happier and healthier.

Another secret of living a happy life is to be active. Many people go dancing or do sports. People can forget about their problems and only think about the activities.

Finally, many people find happiness in helping others. Studies show that people feel good when they spend their time helping others. If you want to feel happier, you can do good things for someone. You can help a friend with his or her studies, go shopping or help out with some things around the house for an elderly person. If you can do that, you will feel happy.
