Christmas is a time for sending gifts to people you love, so I never forget to prepare gifts for my family.

Last year, I went to Arizona _______business. One day, I walked into a local store to buy Christmas presents for my wife and children. There I saw a little boy holding a   _______. He kept touching its ears and looked very _________. So I came up to him and asked the boy what happened.

“My sister wanted this bear for Christmas. She thought that Santa Claus would give her the bear.”, he said.

“Maybe Santa Claus will do.”, I smiled.

“No, Santa Claus can’t _______ the place where my sister lives. I have to give the bear to my _______   to take it to my sister.”, he replied. I asked him where his sister was. He looked at me   _______ and said, “She has gone to heaven(天堂) and my dad said that mum was going to be with her daughter. I told my mum to wait so that I could give the bear to her _______ I came back from the store. But now I don’t have enough money to buy it.”

“I also wanted to buy some roses _______ my mum. I love her very much and I don’t want her to leave. I hope she will never forget me.” he said in a low voice.

“Shall we count your money once more?”, I asked. He agreed. While we were counting, I_______   put my money into his pocket. Then, the boy felt very surprised to find that he had enough money and bought this bear happily.

I felt I was so lucky to________ the little boy’s love for his family while I felt sad when I thought of the boy and his family.

One day when Jack was walking in the park, he saw a woman, who lived a few miles away, sitting on a bench with a dog beside her. The dog was looking up at the woman.

Jack walked up to the woman and said, "Hello, Sue, how are you? May I sit and talk with you for a while?" "Of course, please sit down," Sue said. Jack sat down next to Sue on the bench, and they talked quietly together. The dog continued to look up at Sue, as if waiting to be fed. "That's a nice dog, isn't he?" Jack said, pointing at the animal.

"Yes, he is. He's handsome. He's a bit of a mixture, but that's not a bad thing. He's strong and healthy." "And hungry," Jack said. "He hasn't taken his eyes off you. He thinks you've got some food for him." "That's true," Sue said. "But I haven't."

They both laughed and then Jack said, "Does your dog bite（咬人）?" "No," Sue said, "He's never bitten anyone. He's always gentle and friendly."

Hearing this, Jack decided to hold out his hand and touched the animal's head. Suddenly it jumped up and bite him.

"Hey!" Jack shouted. "You said your dog didn't bite."

Sue replied in surprise, "Yeah, I did. But this is not my dog. My dog's at home."
