Everyone in Class 5, Grade 8 was sad. Their class monitor（班长）, Derek, was going to move to another country with his family in a few weeks. ______ Derek wanted very much to stay with his classmates, he had no choice（选择）but to follow his family.

The robot was very smart. When it was cold, it would ask David to put on his coat. If David forgot to carry his bag, the robot would help him remember it at once. At first, David was very happy. He thought the robot really helped him a lot in life.

As time went by, David felt unhappy with the robot. No matter where he went, the robot would follow him. After they came back home, the robot would tell Kathy all the information about what David did. Sometimes David shouted at the robot and asked it to get away from him, but it didn’t work. It always said, “My job is to help you 24 hours a day. I should do my job well.”

Helen Keller was born in Alabama, America on June 27, 1880. When she was one and a half years old, she was badly ill. Later, she couldn’t see or hear. When she was young, Helen was always angry, because it was hard to let others know what she needed.

Her parents asked Annie Sullivan for help. Annie had some special ways to help Helen. For example, she put Helen’s hand in water, and then spelled W-A-T-E-R on her other hand. Helen finally knew what was happening. She learned many words that day.

Annie also taught Helen how to read Braille (盲文) and use a typewriter (打字机). She also wanted Helen to learn to speak. When she spoke, Annie placed Helen’s hand on her lips (嘴唇). Helen learned how they made the sound. Soon, Helen started saying a few words and sounds.

As she grew older, Helen Keller spent most of her time helping others. She wrote many books about her special experiences, traveled all over the world, and lived until she was 87 years old.
