Do you have a pet? Many children like pets and even treat (对待) them like humans sometimes. They like to kiss or hug (拥抱) their pets. But this can make them ill (生病的), according to Daily Mail.

Kissing or hugging pets such as dogs and cats can expose (使接触) people to drug-resistant bacteria (耐药细菌), British scientists said.

Many pet owners (主人) give their pets antibiotics (抗生素) when they get ill. But taking antibiotics too often can affect the bacteria inside your pet. The bacteria can become drug-resistant. When people kiss or hug their pets, this kind of bacteria can move to them and make them ill.

Close relationships between pet owners and their pets are important. But if pet owners follow the rules below, they will not get ill.

Rules for playing
● Do not kiss your pets on the mouth.

【推荐1】Dear editor(编辑):

I live in a beautiful city. Many visitors come to my city every year because there are so many colorful peacocks(孔雀) here.

The peacocks mostly live on the grassland of Dongfeng Square. Visitors usually throw food to them, but they don’t think about at all whether the food is good or not. Some of the peacocks became ill, and some even died after eating the bad food given by visitors.

I’m sure most of the visitors who throw food to the peacocks really like the birds, but they don’t realize that they may be doing them harm (伤害). Visitors should be told that what they have done is harmful to the birds, and this kind of thing must be stopped.

Perhaps we can build some small shops beside Dongfeng Square to sell peacocks food. For us every person, it is our duty to give more love to these beautiful birds to look after them carefully.

                                                                                                              Yours,
