With all of these, players will throw themselves into a story and pay their attention to their final goal(目标)—getting out of the room in a race against the clock.

Pu Yixing is an avid player of this game. Every time he arrives in a new city, the young man will play the game there. He sees the game as a new way of socializing(社交).“People spend two hours finding an untold story and trying to run away from a room. It’s a great experience for every player to enjoy,”Pu said.

He Shu, the director of a popular escape room program, says this game needs teamwork, speed, problem-solving skills, creativity and patience(创造力和耐心) of players. “It gives players a strong sense of achievement(成就) when they complete tasks and breakout of a room. It needs their reasoning(推理) skills and good teamwork,” she said.“It’s a good ice-breaking tool to make new friends as well as grow closer to old ones.”

So why is this puzzle-solving game so popular? According to a study, the younger generation(一代) is spending more money on experiences than on products(产品). The escape room game provides them with excellent experiences. The other reason is just a FOMO(fear of missing out) effect. If you see someone go to a very cool place, you will probably go to ask, “Where is it? I want to go there as well.”

What makes a book a good read? It’s a great question, but there’s no easy answer!

What interests one person may not work for another. There are so many styles and kinds of books.     30     Sometimes some people hate a book and can’t finish it! Does this mean the book is really terrible? Maybe, it depends on(取决于) your opinions. Art is highly subjective (主观的).
