Once there was a grasshopper, who was the best hopper（跳跃者）in the world. She taught other grasshoppers how to hop. Soon all grasshoppers were hopping well, _______ she felt very proud.

He waited for an hour, and then he heard a quiet “Woof, woof.” “A dog!” The small mouse thought. “If the dog is there, the cat won’t be there.” He ran out of his room but he met a cat. When the cat finished her breakfast, she said, “I’m happy I listen to my mom and learn a second language (语言).”

A man is walking in a forest.     26     A little tree stops him and says, “Please help me cut down those tall trees. Because of them, the sunlight cannot fall on me.     27    ”

Did you eat figs when you were a boy? ” “Sure,” the man doesn’t know why he asks this question. “Then tell me this,” he says, “Who planted the fig trees?” “Why-why? I don’t know.” “You see, sir.” goes on the old man, “Our forefathers(祖先) planted trees for us to enjoy and I am doing the same for the people after me.”

The rich man is quiet and says, “You are right, my good man. We should do some good things for the people after us. Thank you very much.” Then he rides away.
