When I first came to America, my English was pretty bad. I only knew some easy words such as the names of some fruits, animals, ________ sports. The first day I went into my classroom, I was very ________ to find that there were no Asian faces in my class. And no one ________ speak any Chinese.

The first class I had was science. ________ teacher Mr Hass was talking about how a TV works. He used many big words that I had never heard about. I felt so bored that I almost ________ asleep. Technology really makes our life easier, doesn’t it?

I love training with my husband Chris. We do our own exercises separately, and then we spend 30—40 minutes doing something we both like together. And we really enjoy it. I also train with my family — my brother, his wife and our cousins will come to our house every now and then to train together. It’s like family fun time! The competition also makes us work out a little harder.

Laziness, as you know, is catching, and so is enthusiasm (热情). If you can get your friend on board, you will be able to encourage each other on those days when the other doesn’t feel like moving. If you set yourself a goal and add some competition, I promise you that the training will be much more fun. Time will fly by and you will want to do it again.

This is why I wanted to learn Chris’s favorite sport — surfing. Not only would we have more fun things to do together, but also it was challenging for me. In turn, I have introduced Chris to two of my favorite sports: horse riding and motorbiking. Now he also loves them, which means we have even more chances to have fun together. Encouraged by our example, my brother and his wife now train together too.

What if you live alone? Well, I’m sure you have a friend who would love to train with you. Or, if you have young children, why not train in the backyard with another parent while the children play? You just need some music. The important thing is to have a plan and to make the time to do it. It will be much more fun than doing it on your own.

There once was a homeless cat named Cathy, but the fact didn’t influence her life. She tried to make     66     strong. She was brave and could run fast, and always walked around her neighborhood to catch mice. Thanks     67     her hard work, she never lacked（缺乏）food.
