Amsterdam is the bike capital of the world. Biking is a fun and easy way of getting around Amsterdam.

Students go to school by bicycle. People ride their bicycles to work. Travelers ride bicycles freely around the city. Even police work on bicycles. You can see these every day in Amsterdam. There are many roads and traffic signs for bicycles. There are also many places for bicycle parking.

If you travel in Amsterdam, you don’t need to take a bus or taxi, just a bicycle. You can ride the bicycle along the roads and the streets enjoying the scenery. The city has a lot of bicycle shops to choose from. If you do not want to buy a bicycle, you can go to bicycle rentals (租赁). They are in almost every part of the city. Going for a ride is enjoyable. It’s a good idea to find an experienced guide. Because he would take you to some of the city’s most beautiful places. Riding bicycles in Amsterdam is of great fun and relaxing; just remember to follow the traffic rules.

Do we have too much food? Of course not. According to the UN World Food Programme, there were about 900 million hungry people all over the world in 2013. About six million children die of hunger every year.

So think about it. We should say no to the people who waste food every day. An old saying goes, “Every grain on the plate comes from hard work.” It tells us everybody must save food.

China is taking action to cut down on food waste. The government has started a new campaign to encourage people to think about the amount of food they waste. It is called the “Clean Plate Campaign”. President Xi Jinping wants people to reduce the amount of food wasted. He called the waste “shocking and distressing” (触目惊心). There are many reports in China that a food crisis (危机) is coming. Food production has decreased (减少) because of the COVID-19 and floods in southern China. Experts say this will not lead to a crisis, but the government wants people to pay more attention to how much food they leave on their plate. President Xi said China had to keep a sense of crisis about food security.
