It was a sunny summer day and I walked back home from school. When I stood in front of my house, I found I lost the key. It was very terrible for me, because I only have one key. And my parents were out for some days.

I walked around the neighborhood, wishing to find my lost key. But I didn’t find it. I called my mom and she told me to go to my aunt’s home. My aunt lived in another house of our neighborhood. I could stay with her that day, but I still needed to get my key back.

The next day when I went past the security hut (保安室) in the neighborhood, I saw something on the window (窗户). It was my key!

“Is that yours, boy?” the guard (保安) asked me. “Yes. I lost it ________. Who found it?” I said. The guard answered, “I don’t know. A man put it here last night.”

I was happy. Giving back the key was not a great thing, but it was so important to me. I just felt so happy. I couldn’t thank the person, but I can learn from him and pass on (传递) his kindness (善良).

I was on a train in Switzerland (瑞士). The train came to a stop and a man said something, but I didn’t know the language.

Everyone started to get out of the train. An old woman saw me still sitting there. She could speak a little English and told me what the man said. She asked me where I was going. Then she talked with some other people, then came back, and told me that we had to take other trains to get there.

I was really lucky to meet the old woman, because I knew I couldn’t take the right train by myself (我自己). Then we went from one train station to the next. The old woman was really good. When we got to the last station, we left and said goodbye. Luckily, I got on my train to Rome (罗马) in time. The old woman told me she also had to catch (赶上) another train. I found that she needed to spend two hours going back home.

I was moved that day. An old woman spent so much time on trains just to help out a stranger (陌生人).

Salzburg is a city (城市) in Austria. It’s famous for its beautiful houses, old streets, good music and food.

Music lovers like to visit Salzburg because it is the birthplace of the great musician Mozart. Mozart’s old home is now a museum. People can see his first violin there. Another interesting thing is the Salzburg Festival. The movie The sound of music is made in this city.

Salzburg is also a great place for food lovers. Its delicious food is Mozart balls. They are candies with dark chocolate. Salzburg Nockerl is a kind of cake. It just looks like the three mountains near the city center. It is the special food of the city. Lots of people come here because of this delicious cake.

Salzburg, this small city, has the special beauty. People can have a great time there. Do you want to go on a trip to the city?

My mother was a housewife (家庭主妇). She thought that excellent people spent a lot of time reading. So she asked my brother and me to read two books every week and write book reports (报告). She couldn’t read the books at all, but she would check them and make marks (检查并作笔记).

When I went to school, I was an A-student, but not for long. I wanted only cool clothes and often went out to play with friends after school. I went from being an A-student to a C-student, but I didn’t worry about that at all.

One night, I told my mother that I wanted to buy a T-shirt. Then my mother gave me all her money. She said I could use the money left to buy T-shirts if I finished buying all the things the family needed. I was very happy about that, but after I bought all the things we needed, there was no money left. Then I knew how difficult it was for my mother to take care of (照顾) the family. I went back to my studies and became an A-student again. At last, my dream came true and I became a doctor.

My mother, a woman with little education (教育) made my dream come true. So I think there is no job more important than parenting.
