British people are good at waiting, especially in a line (队伍). In the UK, it’s common to see lines everywhere.
Waiting in line in the UK isn’t simply about showing politeness. British people like everything to be in perfect order, so being impolite like pushing the way ahead of someone in a line is something that most British try to avoid.
Actually, the tradition started during the World War II. At that time, people had to wait in line to get things like food in shops. The government was worried that trouble and disorder would happen. So people were told to wait in line politely and patiently. And that message is still alive today.
There is probably only one thing that will influence British people’s habit—the weather. One minute it can be sunny and the next it can be wet and windy. When the weather is bad, people only hope the bus can arrive very soon, or people in front of them waiting for the food will give up and leave. If someone decides not to follow the rule in bad weather, most British people will warn him.
Waiting in line can be fun if the weather is good. Although people are waiting, they may be excited about the thing they’re waiting for, for example, a pop concert. The excitement can make waiting for something a very enjoyable experience.

You might have seen beautiful rainbows(彩虹) in the sky before. They form when sunlight falls on water drops in the air. But in fact, moonlight ban also create rainbows in the same way. They are called “moon bows”. They are similar to rainbows, but they are created by moonlight instead of direct sunlight.
Moon bows are more unusual than rainbows. Weather and astronomical(天文的) conditions have to be just right for moon bows to be created. The moon has to be very low in the sky. The moon period has to be a full moon or nearly full. The sky must be very dark for a moon bow to be watched clearly — any bright light can obscure it. Water drops must appear in the air in the opposite direction of the moon.
Moon bows appear on the opposite side of the moon and usually look white to the human eye. This is because their colors are not bright enough to be noticed.
Moon bows more often appear in some locations around the world. Mat of these locations usually have waterfalls(瀑布). They create thin fog(薄雾) in the air.. Some of these locations are the Yosemite National Park in California and Cumber land Falls State Resort Park in Kentucky and Waimea in Hawaii, US.
