Hello, my name is Wang Lin. I have a pen pal. Her name is Julia. She’s twelve years old. She comes from the UK, but now she is a student in Zhengzhou International School. Her father is a doctor. He works in a hospital. Her mother is a cook. She cooks bread very well. In the morning, Julia usually gets up at six o’clock and has breakfast at home. Then her mother drives her to school. She has lunch at school. She likes eggs and vegetables. She thinks they are good for her.

In China, we usually have three meals a day. But in Guangdong, many people eat four meals a day. They have breakfast at any time from seven to nine in the morning. They often have different food for breakfast, like eggs, bread and tea (茶). They have lunch at about 1:00 p.m. Afternoon tea is from four to five in the afternoon. Dinner is important (重要的) and it is at about half past seven. They often drink soup (汤), and they have chicken or fish with vegetables. They eat some fruit like bananas, apples and oranges, too. But not all people in Guangdong eat like that. Some of them like having a big meal at 11:30 in the morning.
