Anna and Betty are classmates and they live in the same room. Anna is a ________ girl, but Betty isn’t. Betty’s things are everywhere. She often ________ Anna to help her to look for things.

Now they are in the room. Anna says, “Put away your shoes. Stop putting them next to my table. And ________ your books and pens. They’re everywhere.” Betty isn’t happy today ________ she can’t find her pencil box anywhere. Then she fights with Anna.

Afternoon was Mrs. Carli’s favorite time of a day. After a hard day at work, she enjoyed the nice long sleep on the bus on the way home. The driver, Mr. Abele, always woke her up before her stop.

But today Mrs. Carli took the last bus. It was Jack’s.

“Wake up, lady. We are at the end of the line.”

“Where am I?” Mrs. Carli opened her eyes. “But this isn’t Essex Avenue. Mr. Abele always wakes me up then.”

“But lady, very sorry. I am Jack.”

The old lady had to take a bus back. It was just her and the driver on the bus.

“Go where, lady? “ The man in the blue suit smiled.

“Exssex Avenue!” said Mrs. Carli. “I have a complaint (投诉)!”

“He was just doing his job, lady,” the man said. “‘He’s new. He doesn’t know you. But he did nothing wrong.”

“But he left me out here alone. He isn’t a kind driver. But you are.Who are you?”

“I’m his workmate, Mr. Andy. He told me about you. So I take you back. Is he kind? Or I am?”

In the school, there are three kinds of bullies (恃强凌弱者); those who call you bad names, those who hit you for fun and those who ask you for money.

If there’s a bully calling you bad names, you’d better tell your friends. If you always stay with your friends, they won’t come near to you. If a bully wants to hit you, run away from him/her!

Some young students want to make a team to fight bullies. But that is not a good idea. And it’s very dangerous. You may get hurt. So it’s best to run away from them. If you are strong enough, you can stop a bully by yourself. But remember to use your head, not only your hands. If you’re not strong enough, you should tell your friends, teachers or your parents.

Bullies usually hurt young students on their way to school or home. You’d better stay with your friends, so they will not have a chance to hurt you.
