My hometown, Spring, is in Texas, the US. There are no beautiful beaches or high mountains, but it is a nice place to live in or visit.

Spring is about one-hour drive from Houston, Texas’ largest city. The town has six public (公立的) high schools and one private high school. Compared to Houston, Spring is very small. Every time I go to the store, I usually see someone I know and can always meet someone new. An advantage (优点) of being so far from the city is that there isn’t any traffic. When you get up in the morning, you can hear birds singing in the trees.

There are two parts of Spring: the modern Spring and the Old Town Spring. The Old Town has everything that the modern Spring has and more-old buildings, restaurants, shops, and one of the town’s museums. It is popular with tourists. People can see the history of Texas from over a century (世纪) ago there.

There is a park near my home. People like to go to this park     20     work. Look! This is Mr. King.     21     is sitting on a chair and watching the children. Some     22     are playing a game. My name is Li Ming. My home is in Changshou. Do you know it? It is in Chongqing. Changshou is not a big city,     30     it is very nice and clean. There is a lake (湖) in Changshou. Its name is Changshou Lake.

Our house is near Changshou Lake. Behind our house there is     31     big old tree. My grandparent tells me that the tree is very, very old. There are many birds     32     the tree. We call it a “bird tree”. Our house is near the lake. The lake is big and blue. There     33     a lot of fish in the lake. After school, I go there and catch fish     34     my friends. It is very interesting. I like fish and I also like catching fish.
