I am crazy about travelling abroad. Last year, I took a trip to Toronto________. Those nights. I stayed in a youth hostel(青年旅社). For me, hostels are places________I can meet and talk to different people It's a great fun for me. During the stay in the hostel. I met two girls, one from Brazil and_______ from Slovakia, We three had very relaxing talks together. We shared our personal travel experiences and the interesting people we met with one another. The girl from Brazil was a lawyer(律师) who helped people______ their family problems. She was taking a trip to Canada all by herself. The girl from Slovakia had great interest_______photography. As I was a photography fan_______,we ended up talking about how to take perfect photos by using a camera.

The best part is that they both became my close friends. Up till now, sometimes we still talk with each other online. Last month, I got some photos from the Brazilian girl. To my ________ ,she already had a baby daughter! In the photos their big smiles made them look like________people in the world. I was so glad for her. And it's such a great thing to know that there are people________you from far away. Though you may just meet each other for____of hours, you have someone caring about you in the other side of the world. And I think that’s the fantastic part of travelling.

Once upon a time, a young man wanted to go to a village on business. Halfway there was a mountain. Before he left home, his family warned him to stay calm and climb onto trees if he was in face of beasts (野兽). In this way, the beasts couldn’t do anything to him. The young man remembered these words and began his trip.

He walked for a long time carefully and found no beasts were out there. He thought his family’s worries were unnecessary. And he became relaxed as he walked. Just at that moment, he saw a fierce (凶猛的) tiger running to him and he climbed onto a tree nearby at once.

The tiger roared (咆哮) around the tree and even jumped to reach the man. The young man was too scared to hold the tree and fell right on the back of the tiger. Full of fear, he had to hold the tiger tightly. The tiger thought that must be a giant beast. So it was afraid and started running madly.

People on the road didn’t know what happened and said, “Look at the young man. He is riding a tiger!” “Cool!” “Superman!”

Hearing these words, the young man was very angry. “Why can’t they see I’m suffering a lot? Don’t they understand I am in fear and almost scared to death?” He said to himself.

World’s Largest Ball of Paint

In 1977, Michael Carmichael created the biggest ball of paint. Starting with a baseball as the center, he painted layer(层)after layer. After over 20.000 layers of paint. the ball weighs over 1. 300 pounds. Visitors can paint the balls themselves and become part of history.

Dinosaur Park

The land can be found outside Rapid City. On a hill overlooking the city, dinosaurs made out of brightly painted concrete(混凝土) stand guard. The park was built as a work project in 1936 by Debbie Sardone. The five dinosaurs are life-sized and can be seen from miles away.

The Museum of Dirt

The museum is the idea of Glenn Johanson. labeled glass bottles contain dirt from the Great Wall of China and sand from a desert in Sandi Arabia and Omaha Beach in France. Johanson has collected material from the Amazon River and from Times Square after a New Year's Eve celebration, lava(火山岩)from Mt Fuji in Japan and shells from the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Best of all, visiting this museum is free.

Paper House

Ellis Stenman built a two-room house almost completely out of newspapers in 1922. At that time, “recycling" wasn't even a word yet. The house was framed(框起来) with wood, but the walls were made of 215 layers of newspapers. The furniture was also made of newspapers. In all. it used about 100, 000 newspapers.

Travelling is a very good activity. When you are tired of your work or study, and when you can get a holiday, you can go to the beautiful spots(景点)to enjoy the beautiful nature and the special character of the cities. You can breathe fresh air, meet different people and make friends with them. While travelling, you will forget your tiredness and trouble and build up your health. As a result. you will relax yourself and have the energy to do the new tasks waiting for you.

But sometimes. travelling is not an enjoyable thing. For example, when the bus or car you ride in has an accident, you just sit in it and waste your time. Also, the weather can be changeable. If you are climbing a mountain. it may rain suddenly. You may be caught in the rain and may catch a cold. The worst thing is that you may have your money lost and you may be hurt. All these are terrible things which can happen to tourists.

When you are going on a trip, you must prepare yourself carefully. Firstly, you must have clear information about the weather. Secondly, you should choose a good companion(同伴) so that you can help each other. Thirdly, you must be careful everywhere and try to avoid accidents. If you do this, you will surely enjoy your travels and avoid any unnecessary troubles.
