A message perhaps means success

A young man wanted to find a    21    after finishing high school. One day, he came to a big company for it. There were six young men but they only wanted one. The interview was very     22    . It was only a few minutes’ short talk. Then the six young men all went home.

Work hours are different from one country to another. In France, people spend about 1646 hours a year at work. In Japan, however, people works about 2159 hours a year. Why do people work so many hours? Some people work extra hours because they want to make more money. Some people think it's their duty to work more hours. Some are afraid of losing their jobs if they don't work more hours.

Many people say that their vacations are too short. In France, people get five weeks of paid vacation （带薪休假） a year. In Germany, they get four to six weeks, and in the United States, two weeks. One study shows fewer than half of workers used all their vacation days. There is a saying, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”   If that is true, there must be a lot of dull people in the world.

Animals are our good friends. Without animals, we will be lonely in the world, so we should protect them and_________them.

Lots of kids love animals and dream of   ________a pet. But not every family can have a pet. So, in many western countries such as America, Britain and Australia, primary and middle school classes have their own pets. Looking after a pet is not as________as you may think! At 10 am, we go to the music room for the first lesson of the day. My friends and I have fun singing our favourite songs. After music,   it is time to go to the computer room. The teacher shows us some new games. Then it is time for lunch. There is an English Day in the dining hall, so we talk in English and eat English food. I have roast chicken with potatoes and peas, it is very good. Then I have some strawberry ice cream and an orange juice. School food is really good.

After lunch, I go to the gym for sport. A famous basketball player shows us a film of game and teaches us some of the movies. Then we play a game. I think I can get an A for basketball—though, of course, football is my number one game.
