       The lion dance is a part of traditional Chinese culture. People often perform at night before the Chinese New Year. They also perform it for     1     happy occasions. People think the lion dance can bring good luck and     2    .

Yang Hongwei, 56, is a famous kite-maker in China. When she was young, she always stayed in her grandfather’s workshop, seeing the tiny (细小的) wood turning into (变成) kites and the beautiful kites     1     into the sky. “I became interested in the kites when I first saw them” said Yang.
