Do you know travel study (研学旅行)? It’s one of the     1     (good) ways to spend your holiday. And you can enjoy     2     (learn) new things and eating new food, too.

    3     you have a travel study, you can go to many great places. And you can travel with your family, friends or classmates. On your trip, you are in a different culture（文化）. You can have different kinds     4     food. You can also learn about other cultures from your friends because they are from different     5     (country). Sure, You have to speak English if you are in     6     English-speaking country. You must also learn how to live by yourself. Maybe you are     7     (worry) about your terrible English. Maybe you worry what you can do if you get     8     (lose). However（然而）, these are not real problems if you go with a group.

Here is a photo of my first travel study last year. Look! I     9     (visit) a museum with my two classmates in the photo. I     10     (go) to New York on my travel study. It was very exciting and I had great fun and learnt a lot.

Many people think a self-driving holiday in busy Japan might seem difficult. However, Diane Godley had discovered having a car gave her and her family the freedom to go somewhere interesting. This is her first trip to Japan. Here are her travel notes.

My family and I were driving along Road 158. Autumn in     1     (十月) was cloudy and a little windy. Just as we were driving slowly,     2     (靠近) to a corner, we had to stop. There was a wild     3     (动物) on the road. It was one of some sheep there. They seemed not to be afraid of cars along the way. Also, we spent some time walking through the streets of a big town. There are many old houses and buildings which belonged to traders hundreds of years ago. Many of them have been changed into museums and shops. In the museums, you can     4     (容易地) find many things made by hand, and in the shops you can buy some     5     (美味的) food from the local area for your family and friends.

What an interesting experience!

Last month I was in Thailand. I wanted     1     (have) Thai food. The tour guide     2     (tell) me about a good restaurant near a river. I first went on foot and had fun in the city,     3     I soon got tired and took the bus. There were too many cars on the road, so I got off and decided to go     4     subway. I found a subway station     5     (easy). I got off two     6     (stop) later, but I couldn’t see the river or the restaurant. I didn’t know what to do. “    7     can I do for you?” a man asked me. I was so happy! He could speak English very well! I asked     8     (he) about the way to the restaurant and he said, “Oh, you’re on the wrong side (边) of the river. It’s on     9     other side. “So, I took the boat. Then I took a tuk tuk. It's a kind of taxi and it’s very popular in Thailand. It took me to the restaurant. Guess what! I was not a     10     (luck) dog—it was closed! What a pity!

Recently, the icy city of Harbin, the snowy capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, has become a hot topic on social media because     1     its bustling (热闹非凡的) tourism scene. This surge in popularity (人气的飙升) has not gone unnoticed by cultural and tourism departments in     2     Chinese provinces, encouraging them to increase their efforts to attract tourists. Many people have updated (更新)     3     official social media platforms, including Douyin, TikTok’s sibling app in China, to attract more audience. In this trend, the Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism     4     been particularly active on Douyin since January 9. They’ve been posting 20 to 30     5     daily, for a total of 112 videos over four days. These videos, showcasing the cultural and tourism attractions of the region, have attracted the attention of nearly 1 million viewers.

Hello, I’m Sally Smith. I live in Longde. It’s a beautiful place. It often rains in summer in my hometown, but today is sunny and     1    （温暖的，暖和的）. I’m in the Liupan mountain now.
