My cousins were raised in a rich family. However, they never thought     1     different, because they had special parents. The pool was     2     example. One summer, my cousins said to Uncle John, “Dad, can we have a pool?”

“Of course you can!” said Uncle John. Early the next morning, Uncle John woke up     3     and said, “I have a surprise for you. Now, close your eyes.” Then he led them to the backyard. “Now hold out your     4    .” he said. When they opened their eyes, they found each of them had been     5     a shovel（铁铲）.

Therefore, technical training is very important to people in need and they will learn the skills to make money. People can learn lots of useful     10     in the training program and what they learn can help them find jobs.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a world-famous children’s book. It came out in 1865, three years after its     1    , Lewis Carroll rowed (划) in a boat with three young daughters of Henry Liddell. One of the     2     names was Alice Liddell. The other two were Lorina Liddell and Mary Liddell.

Years ago, I traveled with my parents to the US. We     4     in a small hotel. It was not far from the sea. One day, we took a boat to see wild whales. When we were far away     5     land, the boat stopped. I took a look at the sea and saw something big and grey. I found that there were in fact two whales. They were scared of us when our     6     moved to them. They were under the water for a few minutes. Soon they found that we were very friendly to them.     7     they came out of the water and swam with our boat. How smart they were! They swam and sang so     8     that we felt like real friends together.

We should see animals as     9     friends. And they make our world interesting. But many of them are getting fewer and fewer. Let’s try to     10     them.
