I’ll never forget the feeling when I reached America. Time flies, and I am back now. Looking back on the trip. I believe I have learned a lot.

First, I have learnt h    1     to live without my parents. At home my parents do everything for me. All I need to do is study. I don’t need to worry a    2     what to wear the next day, because my mother would have it prepared. B    3     this time nobody helped me there. So I had to wash my socks by myself at night. I realize parents shouldn’t take on what should be done by their c    4     .

I also learnt some values of Americans. They love their work and they think work is a kind of fun, but a few people in China think that work is a way to m    5     money. In America, whatever one does, they all have the same smile on their faces. As a result, they can work more e    6     and get better effects. I think a few of us should c    7     our ideas about work.

As an engineer, I’ve spent’ years living in Beijing. But I haven’t had many truly outdoor experiences. However,     1     trip to Nanshan Skiing Village gave me some unforgettable memories.

As my friend and I sat together, I felt for the     2     (one) time that I had truly left the busy life of Beijing. Hung up in the air a few     3     (meter) off the ground, I took in the wide view of the countryside and     4     (enjoy) the peace.

My friends had already started making their way down the hill. And I was about to join them but suddenly felt afraid as I found how easy it was to pick up speed.
