Melati Wijsen and her younger sister Isabel are from Indonesia. In 2013, they started the “Bye Bye Plastic(塑料)” to ask people not to use single-use plastic bags in Bali. By 2018, aged 18 and 16, they asked the government(政府) to ban(禁止) single-use plastic bags. They were successful in July, the next year. Today, Bye Bye Plastic Bags has 50 teams in 29 countries.
Now the sisters have a new plan: call on young people everywhere to help make the world become better. “Every young person can make a difference(产生影响), but they might not know what to do,” said Isabel. So they plan to start Youthtopia to help them. The Youthtopia will share information with young people and teach them how to make a difference. They expect lots of young people can join Youthtopia and it can become the center of the young around the world. “You’re never too young to make a difference, and it’s not too late to take action. Everyone can do it!” said Melati.
The sisters are doing a good job. Join them to help make the world better now!

A wildfire is an uncontrolled fire that burns in the wild land. Wildfires can burn in forests, grasslands and other ecosystems, and have been doing so for hundreds of millions of years.
Wildfires can start with a lightning or a human activity. However, how much a wildfire grows often depends on the weather conditions. Wind, high temperatures, and little rainfall can all make trees, fallen leaves, and limbs (树枝) dry out and cause a fire.
Wildfires that burn near communities can become dangerous and even deadly if they grow out of control. For example, the 2018 Camp Fire in Butte County, California destroyed (破坏) almost the whole town of Paradise; in total, 86 people died.
Although wildfires are dangerous to humans, natural wildfires can be beneficial too. For example, some kinds of trees, like sequoias, depend on fire for their seeds (种子) to even open. Wildfires also help keep ecosystems healthy. They can kill insects and illnesses that harm trees. By clearing scrub and underbrush (灌木丛和矮树丛), fires can make way for new grasses and herbs that provide food and living space for animals and birds.
