Taking a photo every day and then sharing it online improves your happiness. That’s what scientists found after studying a group of people who joined in the photo-a-day projects.
In the projects, a group of volunteers from 20 years old to 60 were chosen by the scientists.
What the scientists found was that the act of taking photos and sharing daily photos improves a person’s happiness through self-care.
“I have a really busy job. But I said to myself, ‘No, I will stop to relax. I’ll take a photo of the insect(昆虫)sitting on my computer or something.’ Just taking a moment is very helpful,” a volunteer told the scientists.
Besides, photo-a-day helps volunteers look back on their own life. “
Therefore, the scientists find out that photo-a-day is not just a simple practice. It makes people feel happy.

Begin with fish that are out of the water. If the fish are small, leave their heads on. Cut off the heads if the fish are longer than twenty centimeters or weigh more than one hundred fifteen grams.
Now clean the freshly caught fish. Cut off the scales and cut open the stomach. Remove everything inside. Then wash the fish in clean water and fill salt into them.
Next, put the fish in a container with a solution (溶液) of three hundred grams of salt and one liter of water. This will remove the blood from the meat. Keep the fish in the saltwater for about thirty minutes. After that , wash them again in clean water.
Next, put the fish in a solution that has more salt in the water. The water should be salty enough so that the fish can float to the top. If the fish sink to the bottom of the container, add more salt to the water.
Cover the container with a clean piece of wood. Place a heavy stone on the wood to hold it down. Leave the fish there for about six hours.
After that, remove them from the saltwater and place them on a clean surface. Cover the fish with a clean piece of white cloth and let them dry.

On Earth, we put food on a plate and water in a glass. Gravity holds the food down and keeps the water in the glass. But in space, there is almost no gravity. So food floats away, and astronauts must eat and drink carefully.
Sleeping is very difficult in space. Some astronauts like to float in the air, but most like to be in sleeping bags. They tie the bags to a wall.
Washing is difficult, too. There is no shower or both, so astronauts must use a sponge (海绵).
Exercise is very important in space, on Earth, your legs carry your body, but in space, astronauts float, so they do not use their legs. This is very bad for their legs, so they have to exercise for thirty minutes every day. They often use an exercise bicycle for this.
After a day’s work, astronauts relax. They may listen to music, read books, watch films, play games or talk to their friends and families by radio. On the International Space Station, astronauts sometimes race from one end of the station to the other. The most popular pastime is looking out of the window, looking at space and watching the Earth.

Now the idea of hygge is traveling abroad and becoming popular in the world. In the United Kingdom and the United States, there are more and more hygge-themed cookbooks and lifestyle guides, as well as Danish restaurants, cafes and bars. “The rest of the world seems to be slowly waking up to what Danes have been wise to for ages,” Helen Russell, author of The Year of Living Danishly, told the BBC.

His chance soon came. In 1983, he helped shoot a documentary about birds. That experience led him to learn photography and take photos of flying birds.
In the 1980s, the Internet was not that popular in China and cameras were expensive. He managed to borrow a camera and threw himself into studying how to use it. During that time, the library became his favorite place where he first read some magazines about nature. It opened a door for him to connect with nature.
In 1992, a research program was organized to protect a type of unusual monkeys which only live in China. Usually the home of these monkeys has half-a-year-long winters. It created great challenges for Zhi Nong’s work, but he never drew back. “I didn’t see the monkeys in the wild until I went into the mountains the third time,” said Zhi Nong. He went into the snow mountains six times just to get valuable photographs of the monkeys.
Three years later, his works won international prizes. People around the world began to pay attention to the protection of wild animals in China. And he is the first Chinese winner of the world Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
In order to call up (召集) tons of people to protect wildlife with cameras, he started “China Wildlife Photography Training Camp”. He hopes that more young people will join in for the nature protection.

Da Vinci is still widely considered as a great painter. His most famous painting, the Mona Lisa which still sits in the Louvre Museum, is a piece of great art work.
The Mona Lisa is famous for the mysterious smile. What is the reason for the woman’s smile? This is a question always asked, but it remains unanswered to this day.
Some believe that the Mona Lisa is actually a portrait(肖像)of Da Vinci himself! This is because some of her expressions on the face are similar to those in one of Da Vinci’s self-portraits. Others might suggest she smiles because she has lost her teeth! We will never know for sure. It is just fun to guess.
Others even think she isn’t smiling but looks unhappy. The scientists also say that if Mona Lisa doesn’t look happy to you, it might be because of your own feelings.
The researchers showed 43 people two groups of pictures. Group One all had neutral(中性的)faces. Group Two had happy and angry faces. Each time, people saw two pictures, one from Group One, the other from Group Two. Later, they described what the neutral faces were like. When people saw a neutral face after a happy face, most of them thought it was smiling. When they saw a neutral face after a sad face, most of them thought it had a sad expression. Scientists believe our brain has predictive power. People use their past experiences to predict what they are going to experience next.
“________” said Erika Siegel, one of the researchers. “However, you see the Mona Lisa after you have great fun, you will see her beautiful smile.”

Leonardo da Vinci, the famous Italian painter, spent about 15 years completing the Mona Lisa. He said it was one of his favourite paintings. It was so precious(珍贵的) to him that he kept it for himself until he died in 1519.
Leonardo da Vinci never revealed who was the model of the painting. Since his death, many people have tried to find out, and some people even suggest it is a self-portrait(自画像) of Leonardo da Vinci. One thing most Mona Lisa fans agree on is that it is her mysterious smile that makes the painting so special.
Who is the real Mona Lisa? It’s a question that has puzzled historians for centuries, and now historians think they may actually be a step closer to solving the mystery or one of the world’s most famous paintings. A group of experts have opened a tomb in the Italian city of Florence in the hope of finding some DNA samples(样本) which they think may hold the clue they need. The tomb is thought to contain the family of a woman called Lisa Gherardini. Historians think Lisa is buried in the nearby convent of Saint Ursula, where records show she died in 1542. They have recovered(复原) the bodies of three women from the convent, but they have been unable to make sure which body is Lisa’s.
