Some stand at the crossing to warn people about the traffic     3     (标志). Some help the homeless dogs and cats find     4     (主人). Some go to the old people’s home to care for the     5     (孤独的) old people. People of all ages are willing to do volunteer jobs, and most of them help     6     (募集) money for the charity. Even the     7     (残疾人) and the old want to send their     8     (善意) to society. They know how good one feels when being helped and they get a strong     9     (感受) of satisfaction through volunteering. They make a     10     (差异) to our world.

Zhang Yugun is head of Heihumiao Primary School in Henan Province. He is     1     person full of love and responsibility (责任).

After     2     (graduate) in 2001, Zhang chose to work in the poor countryside. Over the past 21 years, he     3     (see) many teachers come and go because of the poor conditions in the village. However, he has stayed on and made every effort to help the children deal with their problems.

One winter, it snowed heavily there, so travelling on the mountain road became one of     4     (danger) risks. Then Zhang and another teacher left early in the morning with a shoulder pole (扁担). They carried back kilos of books. In order to provide better care for the students whose parents     9     (leave) the village to find work in the city, Zhang asked his wife to give up her job to help cook and clean for the students.
