In a special sale, the Altay Ski Theme Post Office has become the country’s first to offer canned (罐装的) air for sale. They started such service (服务) as part of trial run (试运营) to introduce Altay’s clean air.
Cans (罐) of Altay air are designed to postcards. The post office allowed travelers to write messages and mailing addresses directly on them. Since the trial run began, over 200 cans have been sold. It shows people’s surprising need for cans of air.
The leader of the post office, Pan Ting, said, “We wanted to make Altay’s air into a special souvenir (纪念品), so that more tourists can take home a piece of our beautiful light wind.”
The air in the cans is from the southern slope (斜坡) of the Altay Mountains. It’s a place near a forest and water. The air is collected on sunny days after rain, to make sure it has a high concentration of negative oxygen ions (负氧离子浓度). They are very good for health.
This action is certainly good to bring many tourists here. And it also brings tour roles into their post office service. What’s more, canned air as a product isn’t fresh now. In the Inner Mongolia traders successfully started a similar product with its fresh and clean air.

![]() ![]() ![]() A campaign (运动) marking 2022 as the International Year of Glass shows why glass has been important for thousands of years and highlights its many benefits to us today. Glass from the past Historians think that humans first made glass around 4, 500 years ago in Africa and Asia. Early glass was made by crushing quartz, a shiny rock-like mineral (矿物质) and mixing it with plant ash (灰烬). It was heated and washed, then mixed with more coloring minerals and heated again, which made glass expensive and rare. About 2, 000 years later, a technique called glass-blowing was invented. Glass objects like bottles and bowls could be made far more quickly and cheaply this way. Space glass The International Space Station (ISS) has a viewing deck for astronauts to look outside. It has seven tough glass windows that have shutters (百叶窗) to protect them from small rock particles (微粒) that float in space. The glass also uses heaters to keep out the cold of space. ___________ Glass will be with us for many years. It’s not only extremely useful, it also plays a part in helping the environment. A book begins when an author (作家) comes up with an idea for a book. Authors get ideas in different ways. They may get ideas from their own lives, from watching the world around them, or from reading.
Next, an author may plan the book by making an outline. Sometimes they do research to gather information. They may read books or articles. They may interview people or visit places.
Then, the author begins to write. They may write for months or years to finish a manuscript (手稿). A manuscript is the text a writer produces for publication.
Finally, the author sends the completed manuscript to a publisher. If the publisher decides to publish the book, the author works with an editor. An editor reads the manuscript. Then he or she recommends changes to improve the book. A copy editor reads the manuscript to correct any grammatical mistake.
After the author makes the suggested changes, a designer may decide how the book will look. The designer may choose the size, shape, and type styles for the book. The editor makes sure the pictures clearly tell the story. The designer checks how the words and pictures will fit together on the pages.
The finished art is then sent to the publisher. The designer adjusts (调整) how the pictures and words fit together on the pages. The completed pages are sent to the printer.
The printer uses huge printing presses to make the pages. The pages are fixed together. The book cover is added. The finished books are then sent to the publisher’s warehouse. They are stored there until they are bought by libraries and bookstores.

Japan is a nation that look up to silence and good manners.Yet, when it comes to eating noodles,Japanese people can be the loudest in the world.
According to a lifestyle website, slurping(发出啧啧声)when eating noodles encouraged in Japanese culture. It's believed that taking air into your mouth can improve the taste of the noodles and help cool down the food. It's also considered to be a way to show appreciation for the dish. Sometimes, just making the noise alone seems to make the noodles more enjoyable.
It was not until a new expression —"noodle harassment(骚扰)"— came out online that Japanese people started to notice the problem. They found that the slurping noise was making some foreign visitors uncomfortable.
Months ago, Japanese instant noodle(方便面)maker Nissin introduced a so-called noise-canceling fork. The fork looks like an electric toothbrush. It is connected to a mobile phone. When the person using the fork starts to slurp, the fork will send a sign to the person's phone. Then the phone will play: sound to cover the slurping noise.
But is it really necessary? Dining traditions and table manners do be different. In India, people eat with their hands. They think they build a connection with the food in this way. However, people who are used to eating with forks might find it unacceptable to get their hands covered in oil or sauce. But this eating method is part of India's culture, just like Japan's slurping is part of its own.
"So,if you are eating noodles, please slurp,"wrote a Japanese food blogger."If anyone gets annoyed while you are doing that, pay no attention to them. They're missing the point totally."
