All the dirt bikers try to reach the top of a dangerous hillside course in Belgium. It’s been held every year for the last twenty years, but so far, no one has been able to reach the top.
The so-called “impossible climb” starts out as rough gravel(碎石) and then switches over to a rough uneven cliff(悬崖) face designed to throw riders off and roll them and their bikes back down to the base of the hill. The angle of the course(赛道) is not the problem, according to most riders, but the sudden change of ride surface makes keeping control of the bike and reaching the top so hard. Some fly off their bike early during the climb. While others get painfully close to the finish line, yet in the end they all succumb to the power of gravity(重力) before reaching their goal.
In spite of gathering the most talented dirt bikers in Europe at the start line every year, the Andler Hillclimb has so far remained unclimbable. The closest one to success was a Suzuki bike rider who once reportedly crossed the finish line with the front wheel before rolling back down the slope(斜坡) like the rest of the competitors. Sadly, his achievement didn’t count as a successful climb, as the whole bike and its rider must make it to the top of the hill.
With so many riders having failed to make it to the top over the last 20 years, why are people still trying every year? Why not just call the climb impossible and stop it? Well, maybe it has something to do with the satisfaction of winning? Can you imagine what it would be like when the very first dirt biker reaches the top of this famous hill?

She has been playing Go for only three years. Before this, the woman was an expert (专家) at playing computer games. Now she plays Go the same way she played computer games—by becoming a machine herself.
They will play many games, until they know who the winner is. The woman shows no feelings but thinking about all the possible (可能的) ways of placing her next stone (棋子). The old man, on the other hand, looks at the movements (移动) of her hands and of her face. This has always helped him to win.
He wins the first three games. She wins the next game, and the man is surprised. He has never lost to a woman. The old man worries about the way the young woman is playing the game. He can’t read her face, he does not understand her way of playing.
“The way I think about the game”, says the woman, “is that it is steps for getting what I want.” Again, the old man is surprised. For him, the game is a way of life itself, and not a model of life. “There is no more beauty any longer. Everything is science and rules. Everything is about winning. Nothing is about playing,” he says.
They cannot agree with each other, but it is not necessary. “Change is a necessary (必要的) part of life”, thinks the man. “Playing is as important as winning”, thinks the woman.
They start to play their final game.
