Do you know Stonehenge? It’s one of Britain’s most famous historical     1     (place). Every year more than 750, 000 people     2     (visit) it. People like to go to this place as they want to see the sun     3     (rise) on the longest day of the year, especially     4     June.

Different people have different ideas about Stonehenge. Some historians believed Stonehenge was a temple,       5     historian Paul Stoker thinks this can’t be true because Stonehenge was built many centuries ago. Other people believe the stones were used to keep people     6     (health). No one is sure     7     Stonehenge was used for, but most agree that the position of the stones must be for a special purpose. People might build it     8     (respect) ancestors.

Stonehenge was built     9     (slow) over a long period of time. Most historians believe it must be almost 5,000 years old. The stones are so big and heavy     10     no one knows how it was built, but we do know the builders must have been hard-working and great planners.

The Icehotel is the world's first ice hotel in northern Sweden. The hotel, including the chairs and beds, is constructed from snow and ice blocks,    1    are taken from the nearby Torne River. Artists are invited to create different rooms and    2    （decorate）made by ice. Besides bedrooms, there is a bar with glasses made    3    ice and an ice church that is popular with marrying couples. Each suite is unique and the architecture of the hotel is changed each year, as it is rebuilt from scratch.

Each year the Icehotel receives applications from artists around the world    4    （design）the church, reception, main hall and the imaginative suites. The ice suites do not have any bathroom facilities but bathrooms for guests can be found in a warm building close by.
