As we all know, there have been     1     talent shows on TV since Super Girls than before. Everyone thinks that the programs bring great fun to our daily life and we get     2     by watching different kinds of shows. They show their talents by     3    , dancing, doing magic and so on. In this way such programs give a free way to anyone who wants to show his     4     talent on TV and make more people     5     hard to make their dreams come true. And the     6     always get good prizes. When we watch the shows on TV, we usually play a role in     7     the winner.

Though these shows bring     8     lots of pleasure, they cause many bad     9     especially for teenagers. For example, many students have spent too much time and money     10     them. It affects their studies seriously.

March 1st should have been the start of the spring term for many middle and primary schools in China. However, to prevent COVID-19 (新型冠状病毒) from spreading quickly,     1     of students couldn’t go to school. When schools tried their best     2     for the new term, they found a new way of teaching: live streaming (直播) .

While teachers     3     lessons in their own homes, students were watching them on their computers at home. The online class was just like the offline (离线的) one. The teacher could ask questions and communicate     4     the students. Some apps (应用软件) even made it possible for the teacher to see the students. If someone didn’t listen carefully, the teacher could even     5     the camera at him or her, liked calling him or her out in front of the whole class. The whole experience was like that in a real classroom.

Many students liked the online classes     6     they were more interesting. Then did all the people have the same idea? Actually, some people didn’t think it     7     a good idea. In their opinion, some students didn’t listen carefully and it wasn’t easy for each teacher to give lessons in this way. Many older teachers found     8     difficult to teach through their mobile phones.

As a new way of teaching, live streaming has its advantages. Unlike (不像) traditional classrooms, online ones allow teachers and students to share resources (资源) more     9    . They also allow teachers to use more technologies.

I hope that more technologies enter classrooms and     10     teaching more efficient (有效率的) . Even if everybody has to stay indoors, people can still work, have classes and do most things at home.

Next time you’re in a public place, take a look around you, and count how many people are using their phones. I can tell you, that it is probably     1     than half, whether you’re on a bus, in a cafe or simply     2     down the street.

I’m not saying that I am an exception(例外) of this, but it     3     amazes(使吃惊) me how people can spend so much time on their phones without talking to     4    . Has it gone too far?

Recently, my smartphone     5     down and I had to use a really old phone just to keep me in touch with my family and     6    . I loved it. I loved being free from the Internet and I     7     didn’t mind not having updates(最新消息) about what my friends were doing. It allowed     8     to spend more time enjoying my time in London and watching the people around me and really see     9     was going on.

However, I knew that as soon as I got my smartphone back, I would be one of those people     10     again. Perhaps I should just go back to using the basic phone and forget I have ever got my smartphone back.
